you can go to see chiropractor and also physiotherapy. after the injury you need to do rehabilitation for full recovery.

Sometimes my hamstring hurts too, basically I injured my left knee like 14 years back, when I was in my form 2.. I'm 28 now, fast forward. Did MRI twice before, both doctors didn't recommend surgery. Was ok until recently, I guess I gained weight and now both of my knees started to feel pain (including my right uninjured knee) This post has been edited by Jordi: Apr 20 2015, 01:21 PM

Was ok until recently, I guess I gained weight and now both of my knees started to feel pain (including my right uninjured knee) damn, both our cases are very similiar. im about the same age as you, and believe me when i say that surgery is the very last option you should be looking at. this may be anecdotal, but what happened to me was that after my initial injury, my knee would easily pop out and i wont be able to straighten my leg, sometimes up to 3 days. after the 5th time this happened, i stopped sports, i nvr play legs at the gym, and i cant remember when was the last time i jogged or ran. recently i went to HKL ortho and being the idiot that i am, i insisted on surgery, but the doctor persuaded me to go for physio for 3 months, and then she will re-evaluate. i am 2 months into my rehab and it turns out, i no longer have any major injury or problems with my knee, only that my legs are extremely weak. i used to have constant pain, but not anymore. so there you have it, dont go rushing into surgery. try going for physio and see if strengthening your legs is what you need. Oh and just in case it might help, because my legs were weak, i always locked my knees whenever i was standing still. do not do this shit. I was still pretty active even after my injury until I started working which has less time to commit on sports which is not advisable I guess. So yea, surgery is my last option too but these days my knees are getting worst. A 10 minutes walk from my office to car, I can feel that both of my knees feel pain.. not sharp pain but more like dull pain. I'm worried that it's bone-to-bone friction that's causing the pain

I do feel some slight improvement but my dull knee ache has really been bothering me and at one point it's depressing.. I'm actually looking out for more options and probably if someone here can recommend docs that have experienced in fixing their knees that will be great. How's HKL's doc and treatment thus far?

QUOTE(Jordi @ Apr 20 2015, 01:22 PM) How's your knee now? Is it better? Even with surgery your knee won't be 100% again, you will get max 80% after that. It all depend on how you take care of you knee after the surgery. I can't wait to exercise even after 2 week of surgery so my knee is only 70% now but I still can swim, jog and do some workout. Normal walking is not a problem anyway. Surgery will be the last option if you have no choice because it is a long recovery process. By the way I did the stem cell regeneration on my knee as well (this is torturing!!!) hahaha...

hei guys, we have a physiotherapy clinic opened in Ara Damansara Oasis opened for appointments. Kindly look us up in FB Healing Oasis Sports Physiotherapy or PM me for more details. once you have seen your specialists and can be referred to us if you stay nearby here etc. for rehab sessions.
I am from a reputable hospital and i know it's a pain at times and service can be bad as you don't get personalized 1 to 1 sessions.
Footballer myself!. Cheers!

Dr Sean Ng is a good choice too for sports injuries. He attended to me before when I sprained an ankle while playing tennis and he's really good. He gives treatments that are as conservative as possible and only recommends surgery as needed.
