Testing my friend's yicamera, found 1 cons that i really dont like - the screw is too shallow, so when using tripod it can't lock firmly. Even my monopod also cant fit perfectly.

Other than that, really great device for money !

Timelapse testing (randomly pick a song)

any brand, as long as class 10.

just tested 2 timelapse, picture size set to lowest (5mp), to record a 20 seconds timelapse video it took around 1gb memory ohmy.gif

so if going to a trip, dont know 32gb will enough or not...

depends on the object. The cloud today was not moving fast, so i set 5sec.

I prefer Gopro editor than picasa, picasa have not much setting to edit the timelapse.

that's normal.
when u start going for video instead of photo.
u need to prepare mentally & financially for hdd space laugh.gif

im used to shoot time lapse at full resolution (24mp on dslr) in RAW sweat.gif
one time lapse session can take around 8gb space , then edited photos around quarter of that, then the video itself.

now shooting in xiaomi yi is a good savings of space.
normally for full reso time lapse shoot with Yi, for 1 hour shooting (makes up to 10-20sec video after post editing), will be around 3gb. haha icon_rolleyes.gif laugh.gif whistling.gif
after editing, get 10sec video for 100+mb compressed

if not gonna crop , why shoot at full reso? takkan u render a 24mp video shocking.gif

1080p roughly 2MP only, even 4K also less than 9mp sweat.gif
