So after amazingly hectic week I can afford returning home to JB. Naik KTM Senandung Sutera train.
I rarely take midnight train since I prefer to arrive during evening. But when I took one, its always awesome experience.

Liek time machine. Go inside train, sleep and magically arrived when you open ur eyes 6 hour later.

Looks exactly the same as the SRT sleeper trains I took before in thai. Very hard to sleep coz they never dim the lights

Oh and taking a shit in a fast moving train is one challenge everyone should attempt in their lifetime.

I take this quite often from Singapore to KL and back...one tip...if possible...get a berth near the centre of the carriage...if near the ends...will be very noisy and cant get a proper sleep. Also, I would rather pay the RM6 more and sleep at the bottom...that's preferred.

train stop at multiple stations and i dont see any staffs walk around to wake ppl up. maybe u have to inform them in advance. i also notice most of the staffs that work during the midnight shift at each stations were all sleeping, it would be nice if there is an announcement so that we know what station is next.

Overnight KL - Hatyai is heaven. Woke up to cool breeze of Perlis paddy field. Agree with others, always get lower berth because its bigger.

Most of time, almost all people that take berth ticket stop at end station in JB/SG.

They already have checklist and will confirm your destination when they checking your pass.

Travelled a couple of times like that from Penang to KL. It's awesome.

Sit in train chair for 6 hours boleh mati. At least still can walk around.

Is it still possible to smoke in between carriages? I remember the doors aren't really shut so its always open and breezy.
