Hi everyone, I am new here, brief introduction, I owned a entry level DSLR camera few years back during Uni time. So far I have only equip myself with a prime lens, kit lens and soon a UWA tokina lens. The reason and purpose of putting up this post is to seek photography lovers to meet up and organize a short trip to nice places and photoshoot (landscape photography). Ever since I have graduated, my camera was not really fully utilize. Reason being is no friends. Those days, I have 2-3 Uni mates so we actually managed to organiz short and near trip for photography session (e.g. Putrajaya). I really enjoy that. I am not a pro/expert. Just a casual photography lover. I tried Google and search for photography group, thought that I can join the crowd, but can't really find any (maybe there is but just that I cant find it).

I hope I will be able to find friends (especially those who is new in photography) through this post today and from there we will be able to organize trips /meet up for photography session.

For now, is only me and raafikaziz in this huge forum.

personally, I prefer to go solo.. sometimes when there is a group with BIG GUNS running around. Opportunity becomes scares and people will shy away or get annoyed.

I big public events. It make no difference as you are on your own with lots of others with the same interest around. You just go do your thing.

If you are dealing with issues of comparing notes after the shoot to improve your composition and pick up some new technique then it is a different issue..

Will you be safer alone or in groups... it all depends on where you go and the type of subject you choose to shoot.. Normally I get away with it... most of them think I a some foreign person from Japan or Korea and leave me alone .. some even try an help me out and give tell me where to go for the best angle.

Smile is always the best as ask if not too sure..

Well I am free from Monday next week been out doing night scape in KL although last night just done 1 location but no time to scout around KL for city view as >12pm KLCC light turn off lol... anybody wanna join let me know thanks.

My suggestion is to set a date, time, venue, and theme for the shooting session, like how those car club members have their teh tarik session, gathering or convoy.

You just need 3 people to make the session a success. Of course, the more the merrier.

What you've mentioned is absolutely correct but the problem is we do not get immediate response when we reply in forum. I have suggested earlier that they PM me their phone number so that we can create a group and discuss about the venue, time, date and theme. But no one turn out to PM me. This is nice thread. But I personally think create a facebook group is alot better especially when organizing event like this.
