I have less experience in building HG, very sakit kepala whenever i have idea what to do but dunno which part of Gundam i can get or use.

Gonna learn more modding skill after i done all my backlogs.

after you cleared all the backlogs, you will have plenty of excess parts that will gets your brain spinning where to mod with these parts with future models.

i got 2 project running the diablo and rick dias kai, spinning quite fast until i pening already...

but i build MG mostly.
economically HG are cheaper to mod haha

for traditional one i would recommend rounded end gunpla such as sinanju parts or gundam age titus parts. some you need to look out of gundam model field.

my bet is kamen rider had lost of shoulder armor you can look into.

but for the safe bet is to go on a bit mecha design of knight mod gundam, that would be on how you want to tolerate the knight feel of your gunpla.

try look into more 1/100 ng gunpla will have plenty of choices for you too bash them together.

final resort will be look and garage kit, that would be expensive and hell of a color separation job (f**ing hate masking tape)

for the diablo at some point i even consider seraphim gundam for its slim body design but scrap the idea due to less detail on the body.

thanks for d input. I have rough idea by using Winning Gundam as base and Knight gundam parts.. still looking into more parts to mod into it.

really dont like his leg, hard to imagine an astrea type of close melee combat mecha move with those legs.

also dunno the paint job or the photo shoot quality, the whole red impression felt like dirty, would have been better on matt finish combi with the existing semi gloss inner frame.

but on the upper body and the weaponry look quite impressive.

still dont forget this is 1/144 kit, my hands would shake like hell wanna mod a kit like this... kudo to this china modder that successfully made it out.

i try cut pieces before, a kit this small is a no go for me... (then again tonight gonna try arm extension...)

hg would be harder as when you bash them together there is a feeling of not right on the overall view (mainly the kit is from other hgs)

thats is why bandai is working so hard to come out all the new hgs that can mix match across hgs, can wait and see which hg fits your knight design.

and start photoshop to see 1st.

try have a look in wing gundam proto zero lines (fenice, honoo) and cathedral gundam, might have some parts you can add in your knight theme gundam.
