QUOTE(ZintanthraX @ Apr 21 2015, 03:00 PM) that setup will probably come out somewhere around 0.2 ohm. so if you're concerned about battery safety, this should be fine. Yep, safety is my concern. The last thing i want is the mod to explode right into my face. Although i dont really understand the concept. Someone here care enough to explain in simpler way for all of us? |

Someone here care enough to explain in simpler way for all of us? its easy actually. just need to know whats your resistance, battery amp and voltage.for example: voltage: 4.2V (assuming batteries are fully charged) resistance: 0.2 ohm using the ohm calculator, the amps is 21A firing at 88.2 watts. assuming that you are using a dual batt mod, 1 batt is 35A. in parallel it should be 70A. rule is, try not to get close to or exceed your battery amp limit. |

@ rzn, its Rm130 for the Goblin at VE.
@ anak kenyalang, you really need to get an ohm meter to determine your coil build. Btw, what batteries are you using? |

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Apr 21 2015, 11:27 AM) u r using the 0.5ohm coils based on ur watt settings.. How to differentiate 0.3 or 0.5ohm wire? I plan to do my first RBA but not sure which or where to buy. coils will deteriorate over time, same like light bulbs.. the difference is, light bulbs is not in direct contact with liquids.. vaping coils do..and more over, liquids contents will build up carbon on ur coils.. overtime, build up carbon will become gunk and affect ur wick/cotton.. take out the cotton, dry burn ur occ head by firing no longer than 5 seconds, with 5 seconds interval from the next firing.. do this until u can see the coils, not the balck gunk.. make sure u dont fire more than 5 seconds as the longer u fire, the faster ur occ head insulator will deteriorate as well and will melt too.. this will render ur occ head useless.. once the coil head is clear, stuff in new cotton, wet em up with ur choise of liquid and fire up to look at the vapor production.. then, off course fill up ur tank, and ur good to go.. |
