I've sampled Creed Original Vetiver, but I don't notice anything vetiver in it at all. Will try it again once I got the chance. smile.gif

Now I'm thinking of getting L'instant De Guerlain. Managed to get Creed Aventus for RM7xx from Isetan  rclxms.gif
*
Perhaps you going to try it out again. On both ur skin and on the paper strips,As it gives a diff appraoch.Hope the scent works well on you.
Other than the 2 vetiver scent i mention. I do frequently abuse on my D&G Light Blue Discover Vulcano,is a nice vetiver with the blast of Amalfi Lemon & Ginger.
A compliment gather as the scent projects very well.

I think you can skip the L'instant De Guerlain if you are looking at (EDT) version and not the Extreme (EDP) version. Even thou both are no longer the elixir scent as before.
As they reformulate the scent. If can get the Vintage bottle,Don't hesitate to grab one if the price tag fits you. As is extremely hard to get nowadays.
Good luck in your hunt. There's some buddies here still own a bottle of vintage version ( LIDGE ).

You can try get a small decant to sample it out wink.gif

I didn't know that LIDGE has a vintage version, thanks! I own the vintage version of Guerlain Vetiver though. My favorite for now is still Zegna's Indonesian Oud. My wife doesn't like it, she prefers me wearing L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme (ugh, smells like cheap wash disher).

I kinda regret with Aventus. 'veI tried it in Tokyo for the first time, it was spring and smells heavenly. Now back home when I got a hold of it, somehow I feel it smells too generic.
*
Yeah,That's a EDT & EDP Version. And vintage version smells divine and heaven. While nowadays reformation release the scent really so so bad. Doesn't even have the vibes on the older version on it.
Issey kinda generic smells , But for normal person to reach,They find it easier to accept on fresher scent compared to those stronger scent with some Oud,Smokey,Animalic,Rosey notes | Smells on it.

Still we have to give our loved one they scent she love wink.gif can't put on something too strong to handle for them thumbup.gif

If you ask me, I don't care about my wife preference. I just wear whatever I love  tongue.gif
As what been discussed with Marver earlier, the reformulation LIDGE come with the clearer bottle now.
The vintage is one with the darker bottle.
I've the bottle. If u want to sampling, I can decant for you  thumbup.gif
As for the Aventus, the RM7xx is for 75ml or 120ml?
If for 120ml, it's a very good deal bro.
Why suddenly not enjoy the Aventus? I believe it might relate with the batch itself (smoky batch or fruity batch)
*
RM799 for 75ml Aventus la bang.. Where to get 120ml at this price.. Somemore our ringgit value depreciate day by day..
For the 120ml my supplier price almost Rm1k ++ smth ady.. A big drawback for all of fragrance head... make us think and think again before purchasing.

Here's my SOTD :
( P/s : If you like rose base fragrance,This is the one you should give it a try! Smells Ohh-Some. If you get this,Then you can skip the regular (Emblem) version.

So true bro.. too little skin to apply, too little time to wear all of them.. BTW, your collections are awesome. I think i will reach to your shop someday, since my wife is Johorean.

Hahaha.. Thanks bro for ur kind words of compliment. Last time was easier,Nowadays with ringgit keep dropping and depreciate. It make a stop when we going to make any purchase.
Still adding perfume every month,But with slower pace and more consideration on which to add. nod.gif

Enjoy ur newly purchase bro.

haha bro... thanks to your poison la..... have to give in despite finance minister jump at me  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

[attachmentid=5117852]

I prefer this over Creed's Aventus anytime, sorry Ken...  tongue.gif

This is one of the Aventus copies in the market in the niche market ie Cedrat Boise, Bond no9.com, etc. Lol as long as any of the fragrance out there has pineapple note will surely be compared to Aventus or ask is this similar to aventus lol

Now we all know Bond No 9 is a mainstream niche with super brash price tag and they did copied several ideas of the well received frags in the market ie Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, etc. But this one day they decided to buy all the aventus from creed which customer complaint the batch where they dont get the smoky birch and leather and emphasis on the unreal pineapple opening make it loud, project, smooth and last on The Scent of Peace for Him.

This is what my nose pick up after wearing this bowtie for 2 straight days. 4 sprays in the morning and i still get the pineapple at 7pm. i prefer this because even without the smoky birch drydown thus does not feel dirty, TSOPFH is masculine with bond's standard musk.

and the packaging and bottle blew aventus away. I hate you bro Marver for selling me one of this Bond Aventus  rclxm9.gif
*
Awesome bro,
Well,For Creed = Greed pricetag for Aventus. Why no opt for a better scent than it.
I luv Scent Of Peace opening scent and mid-notes,The longevity is way better than Aventus. Just dry-down is a bit sweet tarty smile.gif

Enjoy smelling goodie bro drool.gif
Decant Available wink.gif

Really?

I find Creed more lasting than Sauvage. Mine kinda fades towards lunch time already.

3~5 spray on skin, another 2 on shirt. laugh.gif

Can't seems to finish this stuff.
Isetan and Ken's at BSC has limited range.

Suggest you to contact Marver for insider deals instead tongue.gif

He might be able to poison you with something more dangerous.

Hahaha.. Thanks for your head up bro Chiahau wink.gif
Nothing niche add in,except the Bond No 9 Scent of Peace and Dior Sauvage for my designer range wink.gif

Given the weakening of our RM, my finance minister have tighten up the monetary policy and limit my purchases  cry.gif  cry.gif

I was this damn thin line close to own Creed's Jardin d'Amalfi when our trip to bangkok and ended up empty handed. Basically i am surprised there are more niches in Bangkok vs Malaysia. Namely Tom Ford Private Blend, Creed's Royal Exclusives etc. 120ml of Aventus was around 8000baht after tourist discount and Royal Exclusive is priced at 20k baht

Anyway, we are planning our next annual trip to HK  drool.gif  drool.gif

IMO, HK is any frag head's heaven. Finger crossed our rate will stabilized around 50 then at least 1:2 still not that bad. Have check with my friend who works at Kilian HK have the city exclusive available worldwide already? If do then i may wanna pick up Apple Brandy and Single Malt lol

See how la. too many sexy bottles to own but wallet limited budget hahahahahaha

and what are your most reached juice in ur collection, all sifus?

Me - TF Grey Vetiver edt and Bond no 9 Scent of Peace. One is vetiver and one is pineapple lol, dunno why now prefer these scents that focus on a single note.
*
Agree with you bro,With our Ringgit value getting weaker.. Is a turnoff to most of fragrance head who purchase from overseas.
Meanwhile,Here's my latest haul to add in my ADP family. Could be the last bottle or 1 more quota year 2015.

Nice one bro... how many full collection u gotten edi... TF, Bond, ADP fulamak....

jealous ni!!!  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif

Anyway for those who wanted to try rose and oud combo on a much friendly wallet budget, look no further and do head to your nearest L'occitant outlet and try out their new EDP Oud & Rose. 100ml for RM375 and member can get 5% off. So far this is the most affordable rose oud in the market if you take out the body shop lol

L'Occitan Oud & Rose

The packaging as you see, it has the TF PB kind of box

[attachmentid=5355223]

How does it smell like?

You get a very linear rose, vanilla, patch and oud. Rose and vanilla dominates and the oud is the smoky kind and u can only clearly see it after couple of hours. It resembles MFK's Oud Satin Mood which is more on the sweeter and heavier vanilla side then slowly fade out.

Performance? U get your money worth lol

Will i get it? Nope, and not because it is not a good scent. it just that i still have my By Kilian Rose Oud and 3 MFK's Oud silk mood spray samples and Gucci Oud. So i will let it pass but it is nevertheless a very good entry level for Rose oud combo
*
Hahaha.. Thanks bro for ur compliment... You have a lots nice collection too. Eg : By Kilian, TF and Amouage too.
Just diff preference on the brand and scent..
For the Rose Oud base fragrance you line-up here really impressive scent from L'occitant, I did try out at their branch. And yes,Is full-bottle worthy.
Same goes to me,I wouldn't pick this up in my collection as i have a few Rose & Oud Base such as ; Aramis Calligraphy Rose,TF Ndn,Dior Oud Ispahan and few more to list. But this the one i adore so so much..

As we all know,Is a OUD trend,And there's more and more desginer fragrance comes out in oud combi scent.
Just do some sniffing and you know which oud is your own preference...
And here i would highlight smth.. Gucci Oud is the best ever subtil and smoothest oud base fragrance, That suits both mens & ladies. If anyone forumer happens to try out. Can let me know. Is available for decant brows.gif

Hi guys,

Need some recommendations on perfume. Looking for something light and energetic for the day (something like Dunhill London?) and something for evening - soothing and mysterious kind of fragrant (e.g. something like Versace - Dreamer but it's discontinued and I still have half a bottle..)

Any thoughts?
*
For daytime,That have a boost for the whole day.I would go for this :
Been in my weekly rotation,Can't get enuf of this : blush.gif

SOTD
- D&G Light Blue Discover Vulcano
- Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
- Dunhill Desire Black
- Sospiro Allegro
- Bond no 9 Scent of Peace

SOTN
- Dior Oud Ispahan
- Hugo Boss No 6
- Mont Blanc Emblem Intense ( If you are rose lover )
- Creed Aventus
- Creed Fantasia De Fleurs

Wear what you feel comfortable and give you a great confidence boost. I highly recommend Mont Blanc Emblem Intense for Night. And Dunhill Desire Black (Superb Longevity).
Happy Sniffing out at your local mall thumbup.gif

Nice selection bro StevenG08..Solid Choice. rclxms.gif
It just happens yesterday one of my guest asking me on A&F Fierce perfume.
As a fraghead,I tested both before and the closest alternative is Mont Blanc Legend.Imo,Mont Blanc Legend make more quality juice compared to A&F Fierce. While A&F are harder to get with premium price tag.Personally feel totally not worth it.
Will stick to Mont Blanc,As their line-up are way more excites me. What other fraghead think? Mind to share some insight.
