Hi guys, new here. I'm currently using Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De' L'homme and its about to run out. Thinking of trying Bvlgari's Man In Black. Would like to get a second opinion before I purchase.

Would like to get a second opinion before I purchase. Hello! Am new too =)I don't know what YSL's La Nuit De' L'homme smells like, so I won't be able to make a comparison but I used to own Man In Black. Love it. Just finished mine last week. If you -like something spicy -want good projection , strong sillage do consider this. The main notes (among few others) are benzoin, amber, tuberose, leather and tonka bean. I can't detect the amber, leather and tuberose on myself though. On me, it is like a more masculine version of Coco Mademoiselle. If you haven't tested it before, you should. Not one of those scents that one should blind buy. If you are in KL do look around in Sephora. An intense version was released recently and Sephora stocked some. Limited edition bottles with nice artsy designs were sold in conjunction with the launch of the intense version. Good luck! |

QUOTE(whatsayyou @ Sep 12 2015, 01:02 AM) It's nice, isn't it? Walked straight into the shop when I caught a whiff of the scent within the mall corridors. Thought it was oud ispahan. Was surprised when the SA said it was the new Sauvage, because I didn't fancy the older one. Bought it since it was fairly priced, under rm300 for 60mls of intense edt. Wore it yesterday and had 3 people asking me what perfume I was using. It's floral on me. Was most certainly a far cry from oud ispahan. What was I thinking at the mall? Did you buy it? |

To me that's the fascinating aspect of the fragrance game - one man's meat is another man's poison Btw I was referring the new Sauvage and not Eau Sauvage |

Can't complain much since ringgit went to the rafters and I can't afford anything fancy for the time being Kinda my daily perfume now. Don't think it last long thou. And the SA at Dior boutique was a snob. Did not even bother to offer me a sample when I was sniffing around. Pfft. |

Been looking for ages, but can't find one at a decent price. The reference to Ridsect is correct. Bvlgari Black smells similar to MiP too. BB smells closer to Ridsect with more prominent burnt tyre note. At least that's the impression I got when I first smelled it. Thinking to let go my YSL Kouros (100ml/current formulation/no box) for cheap. Just missing a few sprays. No box because it was a gift set with shower gel. PM me if anyone is interested. Should have purchased more when is on special 75% discount 2weeks ago... Sillage is weak but noticible when I move around, it draws people to look around where it came. Creamy sweet with incense. Heard will be discontinued. |

QUOTE(santik @ Sep 15 2015, 09:31 AM) There has been talks of it being discontinued but it is still listed on their website :-- http://www.vancleefarpels.com/eu/en/FRAGRA...t-in-paris.html They better don't discontinue it, it's one of the modern masterpieces in my eyes. |
