hi guys... my friend is going to Singapore on June. I might ask her to buy perfume at changi airport. Is it true its much cheaper there than any store in MY? I've been eyeing Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio (been using  last few years) and Paco Rabanne 1Million (Never tried).
*
The Chanel No.5 EdT I checked at Changi airport last month still priced higher than the one at local Parkson with GST included. Changi airport isn't the best place to shop for cheaper perfumes. Granted, it's still cheaper than retail in the city without VAT, I would recommend your friend trying discounters at Lucky Plaza instead. You can find plenty of AdG and 1M much cheaper than retail in Malaysia.

My friend didn't recommend lucky plaza due to bad experience she had last time.

What was the bad experience if I may know?

Hi guys. I bought a perfume from strawberrynet. Under my name, but im using my sis credit card. They ask me to email them a copy of any utilities bill on my address to prove that the credit card is belong to me. I emailed them and told them that i used my sis credit card for the transaction. Waiting for their reply.

My 1st time using strawberrynet. Do u guys have to do the same thing? Emailed them a copy of ur utilities bill? Sighhh
*
One of us have been asked once but we advised to not give. Since you have already given them the info so just wait and see. Do let us know the outcome. My CC and billing address are the same so I've never been asked about this before. I've purchased from them numerous time with recent one just this month. They are genuine I would say.

Hi guys. Need to ask something. Those who bought from strawberrynet, when the item reach malaysia, which postage company will handle the item? Poslaju, gdex or which company?

I cancelled my purchase yesterday. And now waiting for the refund. But this time, i wanna try to make a payment by using my paypal account. Re-order. Lol. Their price is too cheap.

Or any other website that can be trusted? Fragrancex okay? But price abit higher. For tester perfume, fragrancex really cheap.
*
For designers and some mainstream niche, fragrancex.com is another good place to shop but they ship using DHL Express, which is prone to Malaysian custom inspection (based on my experience). BerryNet uses registered mail so it will be handled by POS Malaysia when it reaches Malaysia. As long as you don't purchase fragrances with value more than RM500, custom officer wouldn't rip open your parcel and check (also based on my experience).

I also try to use PayPal as much as possible for online purchases especially from evil bay because I can file a dispute report and get my money back if I received a fake (non so far).

Has anyone bought perfumes from this site before :-

https://www.perfume.com/

Do you get the perfumes via shipment, and is the perfume original?

Thanks.
*
No, I haven't. There are a handful of other trusted online stores you can purchase your perfume from. Details of the domain can be found here :-
- https://who.godaddy.com/whoisstd.aspx?domai...Y36HSTqvcLfX2Oo

StrawberryNet.com is currently having 10% discount for all items :-
- http://myen.strawberrynet.com/PromoMidYearSale.aspx

Happy shopping!

StrawberryNet accepts PayPal too. You can also purchase from fragrancex.com as bro jarcmercier has pointed out :-
- http://www.fragrancex.com/products/_cid_co...__products.html

They ship using DHL Express and i usually receive it less than 2 weeks.

Thanks. Since you have ordered from StrawberryNet and have received the perfumes in good condition, guess it is safe. Is the shipping free even if you buy 2-3 bottles shipped in one shipment? Will go to the site and read later. Still, I would be more inclined to try Perfume.com due to the lower price. I wonder why nobody has ordered from Perfume.com since the price is cheaper?

Will go to fragrancex.com and have a look later. Thanks.

Shipping is free for StrawberryNet if you add non-fragrance item to your fragrance-only order :-
- http://myen.strawberrynet.com/customer-service/delivery/

Shipping is free for fragX for order > RM130 :-
- http://www.fragrancex.com/customerservice/shipping.html

You might wanna check out BBW too. They have high-end designers like Chanel, Dior and Prada fragrances cheaper than online stores :-
- http://my.bestbuy-world.com

There are some good LYN sellers you can shop from. There's one I got my cheap Amouage testers from.

Recently I purchase my hard-to-find vintages/niche from evil bay, essenza-nobile and firstinfragrance. There are still a handful of online stores you can shop from that ships (affordable) to Malaysia. Luckyscent has the most complete range of niche but shipping is a whopping USD40! With our ringgit depreciating, my buying power has greatly reduced so I only purchase a bottle if I find it really unique and captivating.

Happy shopping!

Hi ton3,

Is my bestbuyworld reliable? Thinking of getting Dior Homme Sport from them.. Good price. Is the web based in Malaysia?

BBW has two sites. One based in Malaysia and another one in Singapore. The link I gave is based in Malaysia and ship using POSLaju. All the online sites above I have purchased from them without any problem.

Happy shopping!

Which perfume smells like coffee or choc ya??

As i know, black xs does smell like strawberry.. Not my taste. So, which perfume does smell like coffee, choc or vanilla?

I cant try all the perfume on the counter. They will give me a weird look. So, need ur suggestion, then i will try and get one. Tq

I already used the search button, not much info though..

And what do u think about joop homme, versace l'homme, versace man eau fraiche and versace the dreamer? Nice? I may need to blind buy these perfume as no tester available at counter or sephora.
*
Coffee and chocolate? Not a fan of gourmand but Pure Coffee immediately comes to mind :-
- http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Thierry...offee-2337.html

Anything from the A*Men series should be right up your alley. Try using this tool to search for fragrances that contains your favorite notes :-
- http://www.fragrantica.com/ingredients-search

As for sampling, no descriptions and opinions from others is better than your own nose. That's why we order samples/decants. Try surrendertochance.com and decantshop.com.

I've tried joop homme, versace man eau fraiche and versace the dreamer except versace l'homme. Those are a mix of difference genre and they find them ok for different moods if you just wanna smell good.

Try evil bay.

ADG too formal? interesting.
cheaper just get azzaro chrome.

Interesting how we all perceive scents differently. AdG does smell like Mediterranean holiday to me (not that I've been there before). I use Chrome as my gym scent. Casual and invigorating.

Go for brands that you cant find either in MY or SG...
Couldn't have agreed more haha...

Price-wise MY was still cheaper before the GST! Most of the niche brands you can find it either in MY or SG already except for few hard-to-find luxury niche. Good thing is you can sample the hard-to-find luxury niche kao kao biggrin.gif

For those who wish to shop in HK, this is the most comprehensive guide :-
- http://your-perfume-guide.blogspot.com/201...kong-china.html

Most of them are up-to-date except for some, which I couldn't locate so make a call first before going there. Enjoy!

Hi Izam,Good to see you here.
For the regular version idk,I nv tried before.. Maybe my nose still not yet ready for the regular version.
A stronger and more potent compared to the sport version... Prefer this softer and slight powdery dry-down..
Nice and well worth fragrance..

Where you been bro? Any new haul like to share with fellow frag fans here  biggrin.gif  thumbup.gif

Haven't tried the sport version but I find the newer Tom Ford Noir (EdT) smelling like the original Habit Rouge, which I quite like.

Wow im quite surprised to see someone saying noir smelling like the ori habit rouge than shalimar...

Tat is why i find fragrance really unique as each nose picks up totally diff scent...

I do came across habit rouge before i settle for noir, to me noir has this backbone of shalimar with the slight dirty vanilla.  What i get from hb is straight of powdery lemon which leans closer to lemongrass and to me n gf this is way too dated for our noses and noir opens with powdery vanilla bit metallic violet n smidge of civet skank n she also dun like noir as she say it is abit smelly haha

But after a few hrs of noir on my skin, she say it smell quite nice lol...

Quite interesting one scent can be smell so differently
*
I think you referred to the EdT version of HR as I don't recall seeing any EdP in KL. Both are quite different in smell. I have samples of both concentrations given by one of our fragheads Joey, who is also a die-hard Guerlain fan. The EdT version of Tom Ford Noir has no civet in it and I don't find it dirty. I think the smelly Noir your gf is complaining is the EdP version (that you own), which is a dirty patchouli vanilla, which I also like. Even though I tested TFN (EdP) first in 2013 and fell in love with it but I bought tester of PAPHI instead because it has a touch of myrrh and it's much cheaper.

As I am typing this I've just received an email from fragX informing that my Sahara Noir has just been shipped out by DHL Express, which I've just ordered during lunch time today. They only restocked it last night and it's selling like hot cakes (qty was 18 this morning) :-
- http://www.fragrancex.com/products/_cid_pe...__products.html

For RM380 I consider it reasonable. I saw it available in Changi and KLIA2 last year, which was priced around RM450 to 500-ish if not mistaken. I think it's getting harder to find now. I didn't see it in Changi when I was there few months ago. It's not cheap at evil bay too. I have not had the opportunity to try Amber Absolute but some say they are rather similar. If you're a fan of Church incense and amber or find Incense Avignon too soft, Sahara Noir should be right up your alleys. While Incense Avignon is a quiet mass in stone cold Medieval Church, Sahara Noir is high mass in wooden Church in the middle of desert biggrin.gif

Congratulations on your hauls bro! That's a lot and welcome to the Tauer's club. For those who didn't know, Tauerville is a playground for Mr. Tauer's innovative ideas with a wallet-friendly price tag.

My Sahara Noir has also arrived last week. It's love love love for me.
