Windows 8.1 Dota Issue, Appreciate your help

Dear all, Good day. I would appreciate if someone can assist me on the issue below: I just had a new desktop. I installed Dota 2 on windows 8.1, and for the first two days nothing happened. When I tried opening it yesterday, it showed the "Man's Face", followed by Valve's Logo, and lastly Dota2 logo and it auto shut downed. It did not show the Home Page of Dota 2. I tried closing steam and reopening it, same problem occurred. I tried restarting the PC, and likewise, same problem occurred. Just out of curiosity, has anyone encountered this issue? And how did u manage to go about it? Appreciate your assistance on this. Thank you.  |

i oso install dota2 on w8.1 but never face any problem like that..

Thanks all for your comments.
I've just recently updated my graphics card and that problem occurred. It was fine before I updated my graphics card.
Yes, would appreciate it if we had a forum for Dota2 technical issues. As well as for other games. Easier for users to identify their problems.
Would appreciate it if there are other methods to work around this issue?

No errors come out? See if you can run in Windowed mode. Might be a display issue or try changing your screen resolution.

I play on Windows 8.1 for close to 6 months now without updating the graphic card driver. |
