QUOTE(d@odao @ Feb 18 2016, 11:12 AM) Anyone have experience the nikon 24mm f/1.8 ? Read it is good and sharp. Not too pricey too. 😅 If u have a 24-120mm f/4, will you still get the 24mm f/1.8 ? And, why? it's good and sharp but too wide for me imo

QUOTE(freddy manson @ Feb 19 2016, 04:42 PM) i have a sigma 20mm f1.8, and another Sigma 15-30mm f4 still not wide enuff for me~ i like em pics wide open! sorry, my bad. "Too wide for me when doing wedding" 24-70 is adequate for me. 35 1.4 ART most of the time but then again, i'm in the same case when shooting landscape but too bad i don't do that much also

Anyone got experience using Sigma's Art series on their bodys?
putting aside performance, heard that back focusing issue is still present till now in their lenses.
Interested in getting the 35 1.4 but with that problem, I'm thinking twice now

QUOTE(fun_feng @ Mar 16 2016, 09:52 AM) Anyone uses a Sigma 17-50 2.8?? I hear is better than the Tamron equivalent.. Any comments? What is the street price?? I google and found it range from 1.2k to 2.8k ?? :s I would try to avoid Sigma lenses in general because of back focus issues even in their ART series. Owned the Sigma 17-50 2.8 when I was still using my D90. Yes, for the first roughly 1 year of usage, it does the job well. After that where problem arises. I used that lens as my main for wedding. Backfocus issues even after sending it back to shop for recalibration. You can get a used one roughly under 1K

QUOTE(fun_feng @ Mar 16 2016, 09:14 PM) So if i buy a new one now will still have the issue? I won't confirm that 100% you will have the issue. just that it depends on your luck (yes, you've read it right) if you get a good batch. My friend went back to the shop 2 times to get his Sigma 35 1.4 ART lens change for a new one. Third time was the charm for him. So far, already passed one year of usage, no signs of back focussing.

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Mar 19 2016, 11:59 AM) Actually with newer bodies, back focusing should not be a problem anymore right? ART series would have USB input or DIfY calibration with the optional USB dock. If you know how to calibrate it, yes. Unless the user is a person that just uses the equipment, not knowing how it works can make things go worst. No point buying a RM300 dock when you just can drive to the shop you bought (or visit Sigma's local distributor) and have it replaced.

QUOTE(jason_lam85 @ Mar 18 2016, 09:52 AM) Hi guys, I've been using the D750 for since Oct last year, has anybody notice that the shutter sound is different once the battery drops to around 25%? And anybody manage to have their shutter mechanism replaced yet? Nope, not sure what you mean I used my batteries until they're blinking and haven't noticed in difference of the shutter sound

QUOTE(SHF8 @ Mar 23 2016, 10:52 PM) Hey guys. Recently my ol' D300's top left button not functioning anymore. (QUAL/WB/ISO) top button It can be fix? If can,how much it will cost? Thanks. If your body is Nikon Malaysia distributed one then you can send it to their service centre for replacement. Not sure on the charges though. You have to go there and check it out yourself.

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Apr 1 2016, 04:34 PM) Nice and congrats. Why not the VR version? Feel that I don't need the VR feature, if i opt for lower shutter speed, i'll bring out my speedlight... that's just my nature of the job im doing. QUOTE(OOtaii @ Apr 2 2016, 09:49 AM) Excellent zoom to own... I wish I could afford that. Save up, take jobs it took me quite long to saved up this much for a second lens
