NTFS for Win XP Pro onwards uses encryption if i am not mistaken.

hm.. Quite troublesome though. I can't just log off my pc once not in use, I have to restart the whole pc in order for the encrytion to take place again.

if u just going off to get a coffee or toilet, and your colleagues not IT savvy just log off by switching users would be the fastest.

don't log off your user, as it will close your programs and stuff, very slow to start back up.

different methods for different purposes.
