someone offered me iPhone 6 imported from SG with attractive price, wondering is SG set warranty covered by Apple Malaysia? ( As the seller said "the iPhone 6 has international warranty, no worry" )

However, i did some quick research, people said that all Apple products have international warranty BUT not iPhone, iPhone only has local warranty, but these posts were couple years ago, i need some updated information.

And the seller mentioned, no physical receipt provided, coz iPhone warranty should be register online, is that true?

Hope someone could answer me, thanks in advanced and appreciate it.
*
another irresponsible seller. iphone doesnt comes with international warranty. only ipad and macbook series international warranty.

no receipt? while Apple you can check the imei online, sometimes when claimed warranty, they have the right to request for the proof of purchase. without that, they may reject your warranty claim.

i had called apple malaysia before..

they say no need proof of purchase or transfer warranty name..

if online stated warranty registered, then it should be no issue to claim it.
*
for apple malaysia online customer care no need, but if authorised service centre, they might want it.. i kena twice.. once for ipad and once for mbp. and saw one customer next to me kena ip5s

for iphone to have international warranty you have to buy the apple extended care or something and only available through online.. the one at m'sia authorised reseller sell apple care is for other products beside iPhone.. this one i ask when i bought mine at machines sunway pyramid.. he told me got one fella from dubai send for warranty with the apple care thingy for international warranty and his iPhone is gold front and back sweat.gif he said don't bother to buy the international warranty, too expensive according to him.. i didn't ask how much tongue.gif

and its good to keep receipt.. buyer will feel more secure if want to buy/sell..
*
Malaysia no apple care.. nearest is singapore.. and apple care international warranty coverage only valid in countries that have apple care ...

Looks like we're going to see lower visitors to IT malls as well as Apple / Samsung Stores in the coming months, as GST starts to take effect eh? sad.gif

Although eventually, things should be back to normal but after how long, that I won't know! hmm.gif

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Mar 15 2015, 06:51 PM)
Sorry , have to post this out cuz I find it very dumb . Friend cracked his glass on his 6+ so followed him to get it repaired . Went to a few shops and finally found 1 with 1k for replacement . Replacement need to be done as a whole set with digitizer so fair enough . However , screen replacement goes by capacity  rclxub.gif .  A 16G screen cant fit into 64G or 128G and vice versa . If it's fitted differently , the led brightness goes up half way only , meaning your brightest is actually in the middle for normal screen .
So the guy , technician , said he didnt believe it himself so gave it a try . Tried it with 16G and 128G screen on my friend's 64G . Sure enough , the screen is not bright . Finally , he went a "borrow" a 64G screen from the shops nearby and of course , it works . Now , who on earth makes screen according to phone capacity ? Only Apple can do it or someone correct me if i'm wrong
*
1K for screen replacement? I rather top up additional RM400 to get it replaced by Apple Malaysia. At least they will replace the phone and still comes with warranty. If replaced outside, warranty will void altogether..

sony replace damaged parts, apple replace the whole unit

The warranty is going to cover just for the new screen or the whole things inside the phone?  I have an understanding once cracked = warranty is void due to impact?
*
3 months warranty for whole phone if not mistaken.

Not hot and humid weather.. but more to our sweat glands are more active. (doctor description.. haha)

I don't know whether there will be any long-term damage but I usually use my shirt to clean the TouchID button, when in the office, or a hand towel if at home. tongue.gif

But one thing's for sure, by the end of the day, my iPhone 6 will have loads of fingerprint marks and that's when I have to do a thorough clean-up when back home! laugh.gif
*
should be ok cos it's using sapphire glass for the touch id plate. but anyway, mine was with a layer of protector, so i will just discard it once it's difficult to clean..

Something wrong with my battery, using 6 plus. Last time can last up to at least 9 hours.

Luckily mac city can accept Singapore unit, proven that must be purchased from Singapore Apple online store. Think of send for warranty now or send it when warranty almost end? (Send when warranty almost end, I can enjoy additional 3 months warranty)
*
did u install any new apps or update any apps? your usage increases? cos 7 - 9 hours doesnt make much difference to me..

n i noticed your signal coverage not full... you got noticed any increase of the changes of your band? from LTE to 3G vice versa? low signal will also increase battery use...

OMG.. I accidentally dropped my nail clipper on my iPhone 6 and it "nailed" my screen. Now it is cracked. What should I do and where should I seek for screen replacement?

How much is it? Could anybody tell me please? Thanks.
*
Someone mentioned before... RM1400 for iPhone 6 to get replacement from Apple

QUOTE(xzero12345 @ Mar 23 2015, 12:17 AM)
I dont think you can claim warranty because of self accident but can try your luck and ask the service center. If im not wrong screen replacement at authorized service center is around 1k+. Outside repairers will be cheaper but not sure the screen they use is ori or not and it will void your warranty.
*
Screen no warranty oh.. unless u can prove that the crack was from inside out. No service centre in Malaysia offering original parts for iPhone ... not even the authorised service centre of Apple as they are not allowed to replace any parts of the phone. They can only format your phone and if they open, they can only open to check whether the phone has been tampered before or not.

whoa didn't know ip6 screen is sooo fragile. Need to buy a tempered glass ASAP. currently using a cheapo rm20 screen protector.
*
actually its not as fragile as u think ... the reason why people thought its more fragile is because of the curved edges which also made from glass. Previous iPhones only the screen is glass where side is metal. now all the edges are also made from glass hence it become more fragile. and even if you use a glass sp, if the edges not protected, it will still breaks. We got customer who broke his actual screen instead of his glass sp. initially he thought it was the SP, but upon removing it, it was actually the screen that cracked.

I see, then need to find edge to edge tempered glass and better protecting phone case.

I've used ip4, ip5, ip5s before and none of my old phones have cracked screen.
*
yup.. the previous generation not easy to break as the edges are made of unibody aluminium. but if you notice, most of them are dent... if might be a sign of drop or bang on the wall... if it happens to ip6/6+, then probably it cracked already.

My advise is, if you are not going to use a Full screen glass protector that cover even the curved edges for your ip6/6+, then make sure u use a case that is able to absorb impact on the edges..

I restored my phone as new and the battery is still not that long lasting. I think one of the reason why the battery go down so fast is because of the signal coverage. More coverage less battery usage, most of the time i get only 1-2 bar at my area so maybe the signal is causing the battery problem.
*
yes.. especially if keep switching from LTE to 3G or 3G to Edge and vice versa..

Sirim is certification that your device has passed their 'stringent' test and complies with the local laws here. It has nothing to do with warranty.

In general only... haha... they do not test every set.. just submit one unit for test and that's it.. the rest of the stickers can be purchase ...
