IDK why people love to take phone plan with telco. Used to take maxis ivalue 1 and have a lot of underutilized phone call minutes and sms. Seems like I'm paying extra for things I'm not using  biggrin.gif
*
I took digi package cos i need the amount of data since i am running a full time ecommerce business. If buy phone only need to pay a lot more.. I got my ip6+ 64gb for RM1851 only wor.. if no contract need to pay a lot more.. even without contract, my monthly bill also amounting RM150... with contract it's about RM149.. haha

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Mar 26 2015, 10:00 AM)
Not entirely true though. If there is no refurbished set they will definitely give a brand new one right on the spot, which is my case last time. Refurbished aren't bad as well as they are checked and has new parts in it anyway. Sad thing there is no way of telling if it's new or reburbished set.
*
i got a new phone from digi too... replacement for my ip5 last time..

QUOTE(attw @ Mar 26 2015, 11:08 AM)
And for some of us lucky few, our company pays the commitment fees smile.gif

And yes, I wouldn't buy a phone that cost more than RM3k outright.
*
dont bank on this.. you wouldn't know when you are leaving the company.. last time i took a corporate line with RM180 per month since company paying RM200 per month. I got my phone for only RM1K (iP5). 4 months down the road, I quitted my job and because of that, i need to pay the Rm180 per month... and that time, since i just started my own business, i dont even need that much of data and the package was too exp for me. I ended up terminating the line and paid about RM1500 as penalty...

Better take plans according to usage..

QUOTE(kc6012 @ Mar 27 2015, 05:54 PM)
Today went mac city. Now I just know they're so professional.

Previously on phone call, I told them mine is Singapore set, from Singapore Apple Online Store, they say can claim. Today I went there, they say mine is from Singapore Apple online store but is ship to SINGAPORE ADDRESS, so can't claim. Must be from Singapore Apple online store, and send to MALAYSIA address only can claim. Their answer so funny, bought from Singapore Apple online store and can send to Malaysia address.

So they reject my claim. Now I've to send to Singapore relative and ask her help me claim. I heard Singapore warranty claim very fast, send it, they check, if faulty on the spot change new unit, unlike here need at least TWO WEEKS
*
Simple reason. In Singapore, u bring to Apple Singapore, they check, and replace.
In Malaysia, you bring to Apple authorized service centre, they check, then take it and send it to singapore by end of the week. Then Singapore received it early next week, verify and replace then send back to Malaysia service centre. Once reached, they call and you go collect.
I think the time frame is about 2 weeks?

QUOTE(lisahasan @ Mar 27 2015, 06:42 PM)
Meaning that, they only serve singapore set with malaysia resident address lor

If singapore set with singapore address, claim at ur place la

They will do the favour for us but only for malaysia resident

Referring to scenarion given above
*
Anyone who buy from apple online store Malaysia will received their phone from Apple singapore. Thus it's also a Singapore set. When you tell the service centre it's a Singapore set, they might assume you received your set from Apple singapore, since a lot of Malaysia purchased their phone from Apple online store Malaysia.
As mentioned previously, iPhone do not have international warranty. I have been asking Apple service centre the same question again n again and they told me the same answer..

Call but no answer ...

Any help to unlock this phone?
It's called unlock right?
*
aiyah.. like that quite difficult also... try bring to those 3rd party technician lo.. cos if u bring to apple, they will ask u to contact the person who sell it to you.

My place here, someone brought to apply service centre and the technician rejected it on the spot as he said it might be a stolen unit. He even suggested the customer to lodge a police report if the person who sell it to him is not contactable... LoL... I was there to send my MBP for service, and see all sorts of customer going to claim or request for service..

Rm3000 x 5 % = Rm 180. Not too much effect you say?
*
actually if I'm able to fork out RM3K, RM180 is not a big deal.. and if i take instalment for 24months, RM180 is only RM7.50 a month. But for weakening MYR, it affects almost everything.. Things become more expensive, not only the phones.. even our daily life item too..

QUOTE(sai86 @ Apr 1 2015, 02:30 PM)
what his meaning is, weaker MYR has more effect than GST.
and this is true. GST impact of 6% has taken force, but it will remain 6%, but weaker MYR is still continuing and foreseen to be worsen once US tighten their interest rate  sweat.gif
*
Yup.. expect a worse scenario.

QUOTE(Xirality @ Apr 7 2015, 08:26 PM)
What does the blue tint do? If I doesn't on the screen, it is blue?
They earn more with 16GB model since 16GB cost is way lower than 64 and 128.
*
Blue tint is actually the color of the glass type.
For soda lime glass type, you will see blue or green tint especially on the edges.
Some high quality one will have faded tints and some might even looks transparent. But if you look close enough you will still notice it. The brighter the color of the tint, the lower the quality based on our tests all these years. This is probably due to the level of processing to compress the glass. You can try comparing it too, take 2 pieces of glass sp (soda lime based) and hit it with sharp objects. The one with brighter color on the edges will break easier than the one which is more fade.

Only Corning and Sapphire glass is 100% transparent clear on the edges.

Hope this explains it.

in nillkin's case it is not a problem of making it transparent as their intention is to make it blue to absorb some blue light so you stop watching blue stuff on your phone to save your eyes from damnation (and soul from eternal damnation)

it is intentional instead of consequential of the glass
*
i mean the edges of the glass.

im using glastimate privacy glass.....the glass shattered together with my screen.... really bad.
im around kl.....how much is it to send to apple? i asked third party...they said use original LCD around sunway..price 1800.. for iphone 6 plus its more expensive..

im going to go to lowyat n see how much there..
*
dont believe those 3rd party to use original... make a visit to apple and you will know why... none of the 3rd party will be able to get the original corning curved glass as parts.

QUOTE(adriankhoo153 @ Apr 12 2015, 10:16 PM)
Glastimate also shattered? How hard you drop it? Seems that tempered glass also cannot save your screen. Is it a normal fall or a forceful fall? Very curios on so call tempered glass now.
*
a normal drop will also cause damage to the screen especially if it hits the edges which is unprotected. Even with full coverage, 90% of those in the market do not really covers the edges. Most will leave a gap on the curved edges. so if your phone drop and hit the edges, there are chances it will breaks.

QUOTE(ASGM99 @ Apr 12 2015, 10:20 PM)
because normal tempered glass didnt protect the curved edges of the phone. so even with the protector, ur phone land on the corner or sides, chances of breaking is rather high. iphone 6 isnt like previous phone where the screen and edges is flat. So protector might save the screen. This time round the edges are curve
*
For you, there's not much to be worry about if you are still using the same sp. It has been proven many times that despite a huge impact even on the edges, the screen doesnt break or damage... all that breaks is the protector itself..
