wifi signal is stronger... if you in a building with wifi connection.... and you stuck inside lift..... calling for emergency is good... provided got free wifi in the building la.... malaysia.... not likely... but in other country... there are free wifi even in the city... dont say in a building....

the data calling is just a value added features, but for those that signup only data plan and not calling plan is a good move....
*
usually in lift no signal at all, so can't make either voice call or internet call. and in Malaysia the wifi not available on the whole building.

I have the function whatsapp call on my OnePlus and never use it laugh.gif

need help all.

a min ago, i could still use my iphone.  Now, it is black out.  I tried to on it, press on/off btn and the round btn and even tried to charge it, it is not responding, the screen is black.

i have only used it for abt 5 months.

anyway to troubleshoot it myself?

[fix it by holding the on/off and camera btn for longer than 20 seconds]...

wondering is anyone of you experiencing the same and if so, why like that one.
*
what do you mean by camera button? is it home button?

usually when my phone encountered some issue, I just did a soft reset by pressing home button and power button at the same time and hold it for few seconds.

I replaced my IP 6+ glass only from a repair guy. It looked good at first. After a month plus i noticed the screen background had sort of yellowish effect. Then at some part turned black. So would suggest you change the whole LCD instead. Sure the technician might promise alot, but from my experience its not worth it.
*
what's the price of the glass the repair guy charged? if the price not much difference with whole LCD price then better changed the LCD instead laugh.gif

Buy la RM15 waterproof bag. I only bring it when I took my iPhone 6 along for swimming. Don't know why but I'm used to doing that.

Guys, my friend uses an iPhone 6.

Whenever using Skype, the phone overheats really badly. Anyone else had this occurring to their phone as well? If so, any solutions?
*
always using skype for work here, and dont encounter any overheat issue or unless you use skype calls for a long time then might be overheat.

QUOTE(viqq @ May 13 2015, 01:17 AM)
Hi guys finally back to iOS camp after 1 year of trying out Android.

Sabahans, please beware of Maxis Centers in Kota Kinabalu. Especially the one in Imago. I had so much lies from them.

First day, I went to their centre to signup for the RM100 iValue 1 plan. They did whatever they could to convince me into taking the Maxis One Plan, which is RM158, I then told them that my wife don't use that much of data / minutes. They said there will be a problem with porting in if I take the iValue 1 instead of the Maxis One Plan (WTF?!!!) I said ok, then port my wife's Umobile to Hotlink first then. Rather than taking the One plan first and converting to iValue 1 tomorrow (where got such thing?

Today, I got my iPhone 6 Plus, which I thought at first was a chip at the sides, after I demand an exchange for a different unit, they start telling me lies like no more stocks for the color or ask me to exchange the new one with a recon one etc.. I then agreed to take the Gold Color. Again, they came up with every bit of effort to force me to take the one with the chip. Finally they rubbed it off (who knew what happened in between)

This is so so unethical. Why should I get the recon one when I paid full price for a new one?

But then again, if you don't want to make reports, at least don't lie la.. You can at your end try to remove the defects or etc. But don't lie to your customers!

The staffs were like giving signals among themselves so that they will there's no stocks la blablabla when there in obviously stocks in store.

I had my iPhones previously at DiGi centres in KK where they'd opened up another set to let me choose whichever I want to take if I find any defects with the first unit. That is what we call good service. Even though their line is not that good . biggrin.gif

Anyways, just an advise to others. Not ranting or anything. Please take care. The Maxis Center in Imago is full of bull.
*
very bad service you received there at KK maxis center. why don't you leave the store and went to other maxis center?and might need to send an email to maxis customer care for this issue too

usualy after finish navigation using waze, I shut down the app first then later I kill the app manually.

Waze only uses around 10% of my battery usage since I only navigate for a short distance only

for new phone what we recommend is used till it turns itself off and charge for 8 hours straight.
*
now still need to charge for 8 hours? I thought the 8 hours charging is applicable to old phone e.g. Nokia 3310.

I never charged any of my phones for 8 hours for the first charge and most of them still have a good battery life.

If you put in transport costs, exchange rate and warranty conditions it will not be worth it.

unless if you're there for vacation then it will be worth it and you can only claim the gst if you travel out of Singapore by air.
