i think both of us face the same problem, the FB usage of battery consumption is more than normal
*
Like mentioned, try resetting your phone to stock without restore and see if battery drain still occurs before sending it in for RMA.

Without restoring. If issue still persists, then you would need to send for RMA.

if without restore, how did you get back all the sms and whatsapp chat?  biggrin.gif

No... the idea is to test your phone in stock ios without restore for any battery drain.

I mean how to get back the sms and whatsapp message without restore? Is there a way?
*
Just test it for one day to see if battery drain persist. After that you can restore if everything is ok. Usually, if battery usage returns to normal after a hard reset means there is a particular app which is causing battery leak. Delete that app and you are good to go. If battery drain still persist after reset without restore means its your battery that is problematic so you can send for RMA.

I restored my phone as new and the battery is still not that long lasting. I think one of the reason why the battery go down so fast is because of the signal coverage. More coverage less battery usage, most of the time i get only 1-2 bar at my area so maybe the signal is causing the battery problem.
*
QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Mar 24 2015, 10:28 AM)
This is definitely the main reason for battery draining problem. My friends from Germany said that their iphone 6 battery drain faster in Malaysia, i think the reason is because we got poor telco signal
*
When you are in areas with low network frequency, your phone tends to keep searching for stronger signals and that will cause battery to drain quicker than normal.

QUOTE(akkihiko @ Mar 24 2015, 12:14 PM)
that's why it's better to buy now, rather than waiting for GST to kick in. And next iphone will have the same design with minor change on spec and more expensive price tag.

so the sirim card is not so important for warranty?
*
Sirim is certification that your device has passed their 'stringent' test and complies with the local laws here. It has nothing to do with warranty.

want to share:

how to identify model, capacity & color from the below example ?

MG**2**/A

the 1st * (is the code for that particular model. 4= 6 & A = 6+)
the 2nd * (is the code for capacity & color for that particular model. F = black 64gb
the 3rd & 4th * (is the country code. MY = malaysia, ZP = HK, ZA = SG

so, if yours is 6 black 64gb. the model in the setting will be = MG4F2MY/A
*
Good info. Should be pinned on the first page so that forummers need not ask the same question again and again and again.

MY of coz la malaysia unit. ZA = sg unit

if you bring ZA unit to any store, sometimes they reject.

mostly they accept MY unit
*
Somehow, Apple Store Singapore unit uses the ZP code as well. My first Iphone 6 from Singapore Apple Store was ZP.

actually if I'm able to fork out RM3K, RM180 is not a big deal.. and if i take instalment for 24months, RM180 is only RM7.50 a month. But for weakening MYR, it affects almost everything.. Things become more expensive, not only the phones.. even our daily life item too..

*
I buy my phones cash and to charge me an extra Rm180 on top of the Rm3000 for the phone is too much. But that is just me. nod.gif
