As soon as I saw that they canceled the distribution for this guy, I ordered from Amazon Japan.

And about the whatsapp group, it's just a chat where a few of us share poison and good deals only lah. I think I shared before previously and Omichael was the only one who wanted to join lol.

selling off my MP01 in favour of hasbro's version. if anyone interested: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3530504. not perfect, but good for projects and part salvage.
*
has it been snatched up yet? I'm eager to get it just to have an MP01.. since what you described of the item, still will give the same experience.. let me know if its still available!

There is a difference between looking tough and looking like an ape.

Look at MMC Feral Rex and Warbotron Bruticus for examples of tough-looking combiners done right.

IMO, the only thing that can save these official combiners from ugliness is extensive third party retools... or 'mistransformations' like the one above haha.

P.S. It's also worth noting that this gorilla style is not present in the official CW artwork, which again leads me to believe it's simply poor toy design on Hasbro's part:

at least mistransformation saved Defensor, and for that i'm happy

also hasbro, where's my IDW Optimus? i can't find the TW one anymore so release an official one damnit

that intimidator is a pain in the arse to combine..
and it took me more than 3hours to uncombine it back for bib .. sweat.gif
*
He's actually nt as bad as people seem to make him out to be.. once u know where everything goes, there shouldnt be a problem
only difficulty i had was taking him apart to transform them for photos since seller packed them in combined mode.. after that, everything made sense and transforming him and photoshooting didnt take more than an hour
though its worth mentioning that diesel is one of the most complex TF i have ever come across

aa a cheapskate, i can tell you that there is such option.. the price i got this for, i can say its far faaaarrrr more worthwhile at a price : product ratio versus hasbro brows.gif

Not that price to product ratio to hasbro's was bad before.. its just better when u get it at such a sweet sweeettt price laugh.gif

If you can't get Felisaber locally, taobao will be your last resort. If you need help on taobao... i can help you with the search and recommend you someone to bring in for you. laica and HxiiiK get their "hard to get" stuff from taobao too.
*
Or alternatively, find a friend who wants to buy the full set of feral rex and add on the little bit needed for the felisaber if he doesnt want it? Not sure if some POs are still up but previously places like 1toy only had a difference of below 200 for sets with felisaber and sets without

Haha, what figure - especially one as complex as this - doesn't have potential issues?

I saw that review but didn't have the patience to sit through 2 hours of footage.

Like I said, mine is completely acceptable apart from the issues mentioned. Not a perfect figure by any means, but no regrets because he just looks too damn good.

I don't expect to see a better Bruticus come out anytime soon.

I do wish he was a bit smaller though. Takes up way too much space.
*
I find that his size is his main appeal.. and what torture, knowing its in stock but my PO is 5000km away cry.gif
Just another weeeekkkk.. fierce attack! wait for me!

How to sell off collection?

I have a bazillion tons of MISB or MIB TF collected since 2006.

I have completely lost interest in them and need advice on the best way to sell them off.

How do you pack them if selling through poslaju or similar and where do you usually sell them ?
*
u need to get some foam or use old newspaper to pad the box or loose figure properly so it doesn't tumble about and cause damage.. always assume poslaju will simply throw your box around, so always leave some buffer so it doesnt hit the box inside
outside you can use those usual shipping boxes or just take from behind the supermarkets where they throw out a lot tongue.gif cut up the box to the suitable size (don't leave it too big of course, else they count by volumetric weight which will shoot your shipping costs up) and i usually wrap around with some brown paper just so it looks a bit better

you can sell in the hobbies and collectibles section as well as a variety of toys selling and buying groups in fb

Loose version as in, all accessories complete just without the box or just plainly the figures itself?

I don't know if RM440.00 can be considered as expensive since Acid Storm and Sunstorm is already selling at between RM350.00 to RM400.00 each and that is for a side character which only appeared for less than 2 minutes an in one episode laugh.gif

Although the MRSP is USD60 but that price hasn't take into account the shipping costs as well. If i'm not mistaken, shipping costs would hit about RM150.00 to RM180.00 depending on carriers.

So if we blindly take the conversion rate then the price would be around:-

USD60.00 = RM240.00

RM240.00 + RM180.00 = RM420.00

Nonetheless, i highly doubt that when it hits TRU stores, it will be any cheaper. TRU aren't exactly known for their competitive price.
I wouldn't say it's the same mold. There is a huge difference between the MP7 and the MP11. Save to say, the MP11 is far superior than the MP7.

150 to 180 shipping? for the whole box maybe.. but for individual units? unacceptable!

well, if hobby shops aren't getting their hands on these exclusives then you have no choice but to import them yourselves and courier companies don't really care if it's individual figures or with the box, they will place the figure in a box for you.

whatever it is, now is not the time to buy figures from the US. let's see if Takara will make an reissue. MYR to YEN is not that crazy.
*
what? by whole box i meant the whole wave's box, maybe 2 or 4 starscreams in one wave or something like that
individual units as in one single starscream (INSIDE HIS BOX, if it wasn't clear enough)

i was just commenting that 150-180 shipping is rather high, but then again i only ship stuff from japan.. seems some stuff from US can incur about 50dollars worth of shipping, so fine, my mistake then

Actually from a purely financial standpoint... paying for shipping makes more sense than driving to Amcorp and spending on petrol, parking, and not to mention your precious time.

but you don't go amcorp for just one item..... whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif
