i just collect a few hasbro transformers like optimus prime, bumble bee and also from beast wars (waspinator, silverbolt, optimus primal). but that one long time ago.

but now i just started working. planning to start my own collection back slowly.

Im thinking to get the combiner like giant type 61 but the price is too expensive

if only the combiner sold separately like the yellow giant type but i found most of them already out of stock.

i saw one guy post his bruticus. pretty amazing. does that one still available on market? haha

Warbotron's bruticus is still almost complete only.. 4 members has been released, waiting for onslaught to complete him.. not sure how easy he is to get now, some people are selling off their first 3 but most retails already sold out

IMHO, wait for official Combiner Wars (Takara) priced around RM400/set since you've just started working... The 3rd-party combiners all are RM 1000++ overall...

i really like the details maketoys done on the giant devastator but it only sell in a complete set right? what about toyworld brand?

I just finished watching TF Prime season 1, but I am unable to locate the DVDs for season 2 in stores...

Anybody here can advise where to buy or download, etc?

I (re)started my collection last year where now, I only have a handful of transformers.

IMO, you dont have to buy combiners if you find the prices are too expensive. There are plenty of other transformers to collect if you want to that will still equally or less painful for your wallet.

I just cant find any reasons to drop 1k+ for a Combiner so I went with something else.

Yep, they are the throttlebots designed to be a combiner.

Combiners are easier on the wallet if you buy them separately as they're released (usually MMC, TFC, TW, UT, Warbotron,FP), usually around RM250-RM350ish depending on companies/size. Maketoys only sell in set after GreenGiant, so unless you save up monthly/someone selling for cheap, you're out of luck. I'd recommend MMC Feral Rex, but i think you might have just missed the POs for the new batch. Though with so many 3p companies around, It's better to play the waiting game and see the next new combiner to enter the scene. Who knows maybe MMC/FP/UT/Warbotron will make their own vesion of Devy next ?

For 3rd party, if you looking for bruticus, then mayb can wait for boxset from warbotron... i am sure they will release whole set later... less QC problem also.

So far, I think the only 3rd party worthy of collection is Ferel Rex.

Whoever still looking for Hasbro Brainstorm, Hamley's Quill City Mall still have like 4 of them. 2 weeks ago paid only Rm85.50 for it there. Not sure if the price is still the same, since the price will only show the discount after scanning it at the counter.

I also bought the Reprolabels for Brainstorm last weekend.
