i think all of them sata 3.. should be 6gbps right?

Yes, sata 3 is 6gbps, can you provide your ssd model and capacity? And before that, shut the computer down, get into bios and double confirm you have set the main drive controller to sata and not the ahci mode.

any sifus can review Patriot Blast 256 SSD? Only 369, cheapest in my town right now.

You can check many online reviews, and most of all, 560mbps in such a price, you better get Kingston HyperX 3k, cost 10-20 more only, save you from headache.

Reliability over price bro.

A copy of Newegg's user review: Reviews on other e-retailers forums showed this to be a future brick. This model uses inferior nand technology (TLC).

Some reviews giving gold award for this model.  sweat.gif a bit confusing if gold still no good stuff.

Some reviews also said Kingston line-up is so-so. Probably kena minta derma topup for liteon 900s.  sweat.gif

Uh... This one is on you la, coz I got use the 240gb HyperX 3k one, all good, not a single problem. Also got read many review before buy, and avoid the award kind of review if u can, coz they get paid, got Newegg, or Amazon or any online retailers, you will get unbiased reviews=)

hi, looking for a new ssd. can any sifus here recommend one best per buck for me? prefer bigger storage, i dont mind slower speed, at least average compare to other top brand.
brand: any brand
budget: RM600

HI, by big capacity I guess you mean 480gb-512gb..(?)...most of all, reliability/price must be well balanced, otherwise you are going to regret your investment xD... So Kingston SSDNow V300 would be the best choice, but with one condition, you have to add about the 50-70 more, for a 480GB. Has many positive reviews for its price/performance.

thanks for the person who replied to my inquiry earlier..

I have new question.

I'm thinking to replace my operating system drive to SSD. currently I'm using veloci 150gb as my OS drive. planning to get 240gb SSD to replace it. I will raid the veloci later on with my other veloci.

the question is, which brand did u guys go by priority. I see plenty of brands available in the market. so I'm a bit undecided. planning to get used SSD.

shed some lights guys.

If you're new to ssd, you should directly grab those mainstream brand such as Kingston, Corsair, plextor or ocz. It's reliable, but for me, getting the ssd for the first time I went for Kingston, been using its pendrive for years. Reliability at its finest. And also, don't read biased reviews on website, go and seek reviews at online retailers, there you will get mad guy, happy guy, and the so so guy with their own words.

SDD help decide

need decide quick need to confirm order today/tomorrow.
-simple office use condition.
-must be reliable, less break down history
-speed not a concern as its ssd its already fast enough
-prefer cheaper if possible but not as important as reliable.

Here is my shortlist from the supplier whom going to built my PC (not much choice)
RM 209 Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB
RM 220 SAMSUNG 2.5” 650 SERIES 120GB SSD
RM 249 TRANSCEND 370S SERIES 128GB

I assume all are 3 year warranty.
Kingston Hyper x is cheap any good? but dont trust Kingston SSD since V300 bait/switch
Samsung 650 (3D V-NAND) not much is know with this product, but its samsung should be reliable?? probably bit slower
Cant find liteon 120GB version from my supplier

May concider upgrade.
RM 402 LITEON 900S 256GB SSD SATA3 (PX^^SCS-256L9S)
RM 396 LITEON 2.5“ MU2 240GB SOLID STATE DRIVE (PX-PE3-CE240)
RM 405 Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB SSD SATA3 (SHFS37A/240G)

I could possibly buy SSD from another supplier if price is right, eg Sandisk, Liteon, evo 120gb version
any recommendation welcome.

HyperX Fury is reliable, using one, not a single problem
