Sifus, My existing OWD 128GB on macbook pro 13 mid-2012 is getting full and thinking to upgrade a 250/256 as main drive, any suggestion a good SSD as a replacement?
Heard quite lots of good feedback about samsung EVO series, any other comparable alternatives with the same price range? SATA3 only.

QUOTE(horns @ Oct 15 2015, 05:34 PM) it's about usage and budget. if it's for common usage, mainstream drives like samsung 850 evo (maybe even value drives) should suffice. if it's for work, which involves a lot of gigabytes of writes daily, i think it's better to get performance drives with larger tbw and longer warranty. erm. mainly for work purpose. programming stuff, a little bit of Photoshop. a samsung 850 evo should be good enough?

Thinking to get a 250GB for my macbook pro mid-2012, was suppose to sell it and get a new macbook but due to financial issue, am finally decided to keep it and upgrade from existing 120GB SSD.
where's the good place to get the SSD, am thinking whether to go digital mall or just buy from Garage Sale here.
checking on Samsung EVO 850 or just get a cheap 1 such as Transcend D370.
