QUOTE(kingkingyyk @ Oct 26 2015, 10:08 AM) QUOTE(zenjiazenjia @ Oct 26 2015, 10:35 AM) yes. i just bought a SSD for almost 6 yrs old laptop. although the laptop is SATA 1, but can feel the significant improvement of booting and loading application speed. Thanks. Which brand/model for 120gb or 256gb SSD u all prefer? Need to swap with Optical Disk drive or just take it the HDD out and plug in SSD? |

QUOTE(horns @ Oct 29 2015, 10:08 PM) er what problem are you trying to solve? the normal process of migration is pretty straight forward. connect your new ssd to your computer via usb adapter. run migration software and start the migration. the new ssd will be detected automatically as target disk. proceed by following on-screen instructions. Hi Horns. After optimize the SSD in Win 8, the startup time is slower than 1st windows booting (after install ssd). |

QUOTE(horns @ Nov 2 2015, 01:01 PM) you must have turned the hibernation / fastboot feature off. (it's part of ssd optimizations; but it impacts boot speed) you can just turn it back on for fastboot. Ya. Thanks Horns.in general, each ssd optimization might impact certain parts of your system. it's just a matter of 'give and take'. they should be applied based on outcomes that you need. you don't need to apply the whole thing. After turn on back the hibernation the startup time is back to normal. But restart pc time is slower than shut down->power on time. Izzit normal? |
