Hi guys,

Serious question:

I flew to Manila recently, and on the flight back, I was stopped from flying due to red eye. As a result, I had to seek medical treatment in Manila, but worst of which was that I had to spend an additional 4 days in a hotel resting my eye, until it recovered enough for me to fly back.

After I went back, I checked with my flight insurance (yes I bought travel insurance attached to the flight ticket), and also my credit card travel insurance, but none of them seem to allow me to claim for the 4 days of accommodation.

Questions:
1. do you guys know if this accommodation is claimable?
2. do you know which travel insurance will cover such situations if this happens again the future?
3. do you know what the procedures are to make such claims?

Appreciate it a lot!

Thanks,
Mark

looks like cannot claim... insurance sucks when you pay extra to get false sense of security.
