any travel insurance cover excess reduction if we hire car from company and the car crash? the excess reduction insurance in australia is ripped off, need to pay 20 Aud per day to reduce 3000 Aud liability to 300 Aud

I have incidentally purchase an extra day coverage of travel insurance..supposely i return for example 24th May but i put my insurance until 25th May. should I call the insurance to make an amendment or it will be ok? the price is similar either extra 1 day or not
