I'll be traveling quite a lot this year including the US, and am looking at renewing my family annual travel insurance. I've been buying from Etiqa the previous although never did much comparison before. I started doing comparisons using ringgitplus recently, and realized that Etiqa is a lot cheaper than everything else.

As a comparison, the annual Etiqa platinum plan for family (RM500k death, RM1m medical) is only ~RM900 for the whole year. Compared to AIG or AXA or Kurnia which are all closer to RM2k.

Anyone did any claims with Etiqa before? What's the catch? Why is it half the price of everyone else for roughly the same coverage? I went through the T&C but don't see anything that stood out.

I just check with AXA for family plan (spouses + up to 4 kids) to cover all around the world Regional 3 - 820 - 25% discount (promo now) = RM615 not cheap meh?
500k PA 900k Medical
