Certain amt of sum insure might be lower than AAX coverage but atleast cover medical. AAX insurance don't cover this incase you fall sick & needs medical attention or warded for something not related to personal accident.. Too bad this cheaper scheme also exclude baggage delay & flight cancellation.. For this coverage, need to choose plan A 

I tried to get my boarding pass from Scoot Airlines for claiming on the delayed flight & they say cannot reprint! Not sure why

I normally buy AXA Smart Traveller VIP.

However, I told them that the nominee's IC no. should be included together with the nominee's name.

Ya, that's only RM39 per trip which is lower than other providers of the same benefits.. I guess I will go with AXA. Do you buy it online? I have few questions though:
1. I am worried about my luggage. Had a few bad past incidents whereby my luggage were damaged during handling. I checked AXA covers up to only RM500 for damaged luggage - is this your understanding too? Any other provider that provide a higher coverage?
2. Obviously it covers my flights. But does it cover my bullet train transportation too?
3. How are the claims process? Via online? If my luggage is damaged, for example, do I need to obtain any letters from the airport itself as it's documentation? Or just a photo will do?

and for a family plan, it's rm 97.50 - value for money too! 

Just heard an unfortunate story. Someone was stuck over a week when flights cancelled because of volcanic activity. Had to pay all ground expenses in an expensive country,  because it was a "natural disaster."

was with British Airways when my luggage delay in Zurich for 2 days +.
Was with AXA insurance at that time and claimed around rm1.8k if not mistaken.. and I also claim nearly RM1k from British Airways just by providing all the receipts i spent until my bag arrived at the hotel

Oh my. actually I'm curious about this question also. Some ppl say must buy insurance once you bought your flight. My flight bought last year and i didnt buy insurance till two weeks before my flight. Now my flight also been cancelled and i cant get refund . So should buy insurance early or not? LIke now you bought also insurance refuse to cover? then whats the point buy early?
