Bought travel insurance from MSIG and lost my iPhone during my trip to Melbourne last month. Thought i could make a claim but was told that they do not insure loss of cameras, mobile phones etc. Gotta blame myself for not reading the fineprints, but then again.. who will expect one would lose her mobile phone during a trip?

Yup understand that. I called MSIG to ask whether phone was stolen can claim anot they said cannot so i didn't bother to file a police report. But i'll make sure my next travel insurance covers these small small things.

Yup i thought it falls under personal belongings too until they showed me this.. So guys, check your policy carefully.
