Any good smartwatch that can use as standalone phone with sim card?
I want to make call with the phone
Not so expensive. China brand also OK.

Reasonably good battery life. If android is a bonus.

Samsung gear s seems the best but it's a bit expensive compared to other.

Seems like google don't allow telephonic capability for android wear?

It is not Google's principle of a smartwatch. They want the watch to complement and used as an accessory for the smartphone, not replacing it.

Yeah. Unless Google change their mind. Which I doubt they will. Not in near future at least.

Many China brand available, you can check out Omate. But bad side is really lack of development and customer support. Can't expect much from China brands these days.

Other than that, its the Samsung Gear S, but its using Tizen OS.
*
I'll check omate. China brand even if they use great hardware, development and sport nearly non existent

Pebble Steel still ok, the battery life. I think Pebble Time less? Not sure...I know Pebble Time Round is much lesser, about 3-4 days.

Looking atthe price, pebble is quite expensive with the features it offers, zenwatch2 is much cheaper.

Actually want to use it as a good standalone vibration interval timer. Normal watch would be better but I can't find a flexible watch withflexible ebough timerfor my need.

Those android wear would it be good as maybe not connected to the phone.

Haha, when you post this, Pebble just dropped the price of the Pebble Time to USD150.

Well its the ugliest version of current pebble though that battery life is good. And it has some toy like charm.

Is there official dealer for pebble in Malaysia?

Next generation android wear worth speaker ate still more versatile though battery life still lose out

No official dealer, Pebble has free international shipping.

Tbh, I quite like the Pebble Time Round, very thin. But I just splashed $$ to buy the LG Urbane...waiting for it to arrive. rclxms.gif

What about custom tax and clearance? Because it's more than rm500. If there are problems how's the warranty and repair?

What's T and L guys?

Is there any interval timer, like the one you use to set time for different set of exercise and rest period that can be use totally offline, without any connection to the phone?

For android wear smartwatch and pebble?

Haha, T&L is the vendor selling the LG Urbane for RM888 at 11street.

Hmm, the timer, have to check on Google Play store whether got such app or not. I think should have, just need to search.

Pebble also have to search, but I think it has.

thanks, so zenwatch 2 already got the marshmallow update huh, thought currently only the moto360 got it..
try tabata timer, can set how many cycle, rest time and work time, totally offline.
*
Thanks! So no problem then. To get a watch that vibrates according to the interval timer. Without needing to be tethered to the phone all the time.

Now the zenwatch2 price is nice, if there are some discount or voucher code. Now thinking between this and pebble time.

I would say the Zenwatch 2 is the best Android Wear per price and performance ratio.
But it doesn't has heart rate sensor and GPS, but at almost half price from others, it is ok.
It also comes with AMOLED, so it is more power saving, and much higher contrast too.

If you really cannot wait, then LG Watch Urbane, which now can get under RM1K is your best alternative, but those are AP warranty, so warranty may trouble you.

Another option is the Moto 360, get those with authorised Malaysia warranty, now there is RM200 discount on Lazada.

As for Pebble, stay away from that, because it doesn't feature a touch screen. Then, it's e-ink screen may prolong the battery life for always on screen for 7 day, is very low quality compare to any Android Wear with LCD or AMOLED, better get a LG G Watch, or Sony Smartwatch 3 than Pebble.
*
I guess have to wait. Moto and LG looks better but I'll consider zenwatch2 or Huawei only as they are more future proof with speaker. Huawei too expensive though.

Anyone knows when asus malaysia restock for distributor?
