k, probably bad idea to quote you when i reply tongue.gif.
good post kasey, although i would, from experience think that whey protein is cheaper than you think here (approx RM2 per scoop, lesser even). Unless you buy milk in cartons, milk and whey have approximately the same in the economic sense. its quite inconvenient compared to whey to bring around though, especially to the gym.

although i do find these 2 articles are great reads, thanks for providing them!

if you know your nutrition sucks, what do you want us to do advice you with? eat clean, and dont overeat. you're just doing cardio so im not gonna comment about your workouts.

hey guys, I don't know whether this is the correct thread to ask.

but I'm working out now, and after workout, I usually have this pain in the area that I'm building muscle on, and that's normal. But I'm taking a lot of time to recover and that's hindering my progress. Usually after workout, I will need 4-5days to recover from the pain, and I just skip the session. sad.gif

I try to consume protein, but I don't really know the exact amount of protein needed for me. I'm 172cm, 65kg.

Currently I've been eating half boiled eggs 4-6/day (2 yolks/day), been drinking fresh milk 1 litre/2 days. is that enough? or I need more protein?
*
A typical normal split routine would involve you hitting a body part once a week. 4 to 5 days to recover sounds fairly routine. Why wouldnt you be able to hit the gym more than 3 times a week? Youve got trainees hitting the gym 5 times a week with no problems?

Last time i did my chest, so the pain is bearable and it doesnt hold me back as te pain got nothing to do with my movement
Then when I did my biceps, I cant straighten my arm for whole week. Very difficult to drive, and doing work so I thought if I cant move, for sure wont be able to lift any weight sad.gif
Actually I do know someone who went to gym everyday lifting weights.
Damn hardcore liao

thats some pretty hardcore DOMS lol. how long have u been working out? usually that kind of degree of DOMS happens on the first few weeks of training.

Haha, yeah, I only started working out for a 2-3 times now. So that's normal huh? No way to speed up the recovery?

anyways, thanks guys, you've been really helpful smile.gif

No wonder. Yeah the first week usually kills you. I followed my friends who were on a 5 day split on my first week and I could barely move. Literally just stopped moving on the weekend.

Keep to your schedule though. No pain no gain after all. Work body parts that dont hurt. Make it a habit to not skip your gym sessions and youll do fine

oh kk.. if so, which type/brand of whey protein is good for me?
i'm 15 y/o and i'm not into bodybuilding, just active in school (sports)
any whey protein that's suitable for me? i wanna take for nutrition, not for muscle..coz in the market, i heard there's lots of powder that let's you gain muscle which is not good for body (i mean the powder not good, not the muscle gained not good xD)
*
so, what powder is this that lets u gain muscle by just consuming it? i wanna buy also.

do a bit more reading pls. since you're 15 you should have lots of time.

just eat more food in the meantime. you dont need supplements.

the injection not protein, it is steroid/testosterone which is prohibited to discuss here. it can make u look like this
user posted image
type of food? just eat what u normally eat, taking alot mean how alot?
if u not grow mean u not eat enough,so just double your meal intake.
*
inject only can straight look like that? i want also tell me where to buy pls.

trolling aside, you have no friggin idea how hard pro bodybuilders train regardless of them taking roids. you take it for granted that the difference between them and you is just a plain needle?

please

Bro, I am "fat" & no strength nor endurance too tongue.gif Maybe I will "kena" also eh LOL (like to laugh esp on easy Friday).. I remember a guy walked to me with his buddies and asked "Bro, how come you do bench press every time? I don't see you do other body parts".. I said "I am weak, I am training my biceps and abs"..He puzzled. Maybe next time if someone were to ask, I would say I train my legs tongue.gif

cool2.gif EZ Friday brah.. It's about consistency smile.gif Obviously I am weak, I pay more attention.. but I do believe the saying goes like emm "Success is a matter of a few simple disciplines, practiced every time and do it right". I don't ask swimmers why they jump into pool everyday. This small group of happy go lucky buddies always love curls and obviously I know they want to have big & strong guns. I just threw back the ball into their court smile.gif
*
does your EZ friday involve shrooms, drugs, or alcohol of any kind?
