AH DARN IT.

Your Topaz looks so nice that I'm having second thoughts about getting the Ruby. The thing is that there is another Topaz there for sale too . . .

Anyways, glad to hear that you love it. Now I just wish that Ishibashi will get those damn pics to me quicker so that I can confirm on the purchase.

Wow. RM500 to clean up the guitar? Which luthier was this?

Oh, how bad is the hum (if you've played single coils before)?

Well the luthier himself builds guitars thus he has a lot of experience in working with wood and restoring old guitars. His name is Edward and his shop is located somewhere in Kepong. The seller actually brought it there. If you happen to know, he makes the Freeman guitar range, which is his.

I'm getting mine for about <2.9k with shipping, taxes, etc included.

Although there is a little 1cm dink at the bottom of the body . . . but I guess it should be alright.

dings on gibsons are pretty easy to make dissapear, so not much of a worry.

I have a LP Special with P100s. I do think it sounds nice, and like what Everdying said, it's smoother than p90s I believe. But I have never played a P90s equipped guitar before, I judge it based on the recording sounds..

Forgot to tell, the plus side of p100 is that it doesn't hum..

yup, with some moisture etc etc.
dents are a different story.

dings in gibson finishes also can be made to dissapear cos its nitro, very easy to melt into the touchup you use.
fender finishes are harder to make dissapear cos its poly, you can make it level with the touchup, but a spot will be there.
