this seems like a good place to ask. I lived in NZ at the moment and I bought quite alot of nerf blasters (the price is really tempting in trademe.co.nz- an auction site here in NZ). will come back to msia in 2021. Just want to know, (or asking for those who have experience prior), is there going to be any problem should we bring back the blasters to malaysia? I meant, will the customs/police kacau? since altho those are still toys, police might/can create excuses to say that those nerfs are like immitation of real weapons and i would be in trouble if thats the case. planning to either bring back in full container load with my other personal items or just select a few and carry in flight luggage.. any takes?

I suggest to bring back in full container or parcel. Don't hand carry or luggage carry.
Blaster is hard to take on flight seen we discuss this title long time ago,
the answer should be "NO" take on flight.

Ahh I see.. Thnks for the tips.. I am already thinking of bringing back a few this summer break. Guess I'm going to have to scrap that plan and wait longer for the fc load 😅😅

Can't resist the cheap price.. Keep buying every single week. Hahaha..

should be fine in cargo. nerf is pretty known to be toys by customs. unless, you buy those 3rd party cosmetic kits. that's a different story. as is, should be fine to even post.

sure thing.. haha.. btw, ive been collecting since few years ago. just became silent reader for this thread only. only now i decided to come out of my cave.. hahahah..

i got a retaliator with a heavy mod back home (malaysia) which i wud probably avoid showing since it kinda resembles the real thing. customise with worker stuffs and put a working scope on top with bipod.. biggrin.gif

btw, so far in here, ive got my hands on rapidstrike, deploy, modulus ecs10 (complete build accs), slingfire, couple of mavericks and firestrikes (bought bundle), rebelle pinkcrush and spectre. all these i bought (after conversion to RM) for little more than RM200! sweet deal eh? but of course, all used item and not new.. but still in good shape tho. biggrin.gif

anyone want something from here? haha..i can help find a sweet deal for you guys. but of course, need to wait for less than 2 years to get it la. until i got back to malaysia..haha.. but u dont have to pay in advance tho. tongue.gif

awesome deal indeed. these days nerf's prices are ridiculous here(MY). especially given the fact we get grey triggers now.

i do most my hunting at the local car booth sale. of course you can't really get new models, but hey, the prices are worth it. stryfe for myr50 is pretty common. cheap parts and upgrade platform.

and yeah,. do share some pic of your collection.

All this while I also got paying attention to blaster news but never expected it would be so expensive. I thought of getting those automatics one but much more expensive, some not even available at tru.

The thing here is, most blasters were sold by parents.. Even grandparents of the kids who owned them..haha.. Well, actually they bought those for their kids to play and once outgrown, they put it for sale.... Really cheap.. Its really good deal for those who collect them tho..

But hey, stryfe for rm50?? 😮😮 Thats really cheap! Been looking for stryfe too for my collection. But yet to find it here 😅

Ahh..quite a long time ago ya. But anyway, your kids are so lucky.. Probably got to play all those blasters you bought them.. Haha.. As for me, im using my kids as an "excuse" to buy those nerf 😂 for myself.. Of course, they got the smaller, single shot ones tho. I got the big ones. But i dont really play la.. Just collecting and admire how they works, mechanically and, since we cant really collect the real thing (at least in our country) this is the next best thing.

Btw, anyone know if we can get vulcan's ammo box and the belt that feed the bullet separately in malaysia? Got few seller selling really cheap vulcan.. But mostly dont have that box and belt. Afraid if i buy that, i would have problem getting it completed later.

UPDATED: too late.. i bought it already..haha

Finally, im exposing my nerf collection since i lived in NZ. I couldnt collect much in MY as the pricr is really unaffordable.. 😅 Here, i just couldnt stop to buy buy buy.. Attached Image
Some blasters not in pics- couple of mavericks, spectre, nailbiter, hyperfire, nitefinder. I think i might have spent less than rm600-ish for all this.

Attached Image
Got a really good offer on these 3 items, brand new at local store: longshot zombiestrike, chronobarrel and disruptor, all for less than RM150 after conversion 😁

Attached Image
And this nailbiter for less than rm90 after conversion.. But turns out its not that good blaster. The clip system is horibble. Yes its automated and all, one pull of the trigger do 3 things, but range is bad, misfire few times and range of the darts depends on how hard you pull the trigger. Other than that, i liked how the system works. The only reason i have it in my collection. 😅

Any finally, my special 'treated' retaliator back home in MY with worker and f1055 kit, aftermarket scope and bipod 😁😁

Some blaster are good for collection, but not perform well. They tend to have cool/unique design and interesting concept and gimmick. Nowaday, nerf design are getting boring... And expensive
