exactly why i don't get involve with rival series. the retrieval part  rclxub.gif .

i prefer the suction darts. they are easier to manage. especially coming out of this thing:

Hyperfire + 2UF batteries.... You'll spend more time collecting and reloading than playing... Haha

I've tried 2S 25C, also i tried 2 IMR, but cheap one(RM5/piece). Not sure which one better at discharge.
Same stuff?

exactly. at least with suction darts, they don't bounce all over.

basically, the full speed of the motors(w/ no load) will be the same(same voltage), but the lipo will get there quicker due to higher discharge. higher discharge also means more Amp(motor can have more load), so the motors will recover from the dart drag quicker for the next shot.

those Rm5 14500 are not likely IMR, but ICR(ultrafire, trustfire etc). ICR has lower discharge rating and are more volatile. IMR -the good ones-, usuallly starts around RM20. those can only give out around 10A. a 850mAH 2S 25C lipo can do more that 20A, for comparison. plus, with lipo, you can add a voltage alarm . nod.gif

notworthy.gif this one i noticed, it rev quicker with lipo, and when you shoot continuously, the speed doesn't drop much between each shot.

I don't know the mechanics behind it, just add up the voltage part. I started with carbon batteries, it's the worst, you have to wait like 2 seconds, before you get to full power. Move to rechargeable(NiMH? the 1.2v, with D converter for rival) then lipo. Only then i know we do have the AA version of 18650 doh.gif

you're confusing yourself nod.gif . the ones you're using are 14500 li-ion( same size as AA). 18650 variant are bigger and can go over 30A. but still lower discharge than lipo though.

I didn't know 14500(i use to call this AA version of 18650) exists before. I thought 3.7v only come in bigger size which is 18650.

Just had time to open the X-shot Turbo Advance yesterday after 2 weeks of purchasing it.
The build of the blaster is not as sturdy as Nerf's but it's not that bad. Still acceptable quality. The design is also rather simple. You can feel the difference holding a Nerf and an X-shot.
The drum magazine can hold 40 darts which is quite a lot, especially if you have to pick them up after firing the entire round. The Turbo Advance package comes with 96 darts and I suddenly find myself with a lot of spare ammo. These darts are compatible with Nerf blasters as well.
Firing power is also good and comparable to Nerf's Elite series.

All in all this is a fun blaster and with a 40-dart capacity, you will have lots of shots before having to reload.
With the promotional price of RM179.99 at TRU now, it is value for money as it is a huge @ss blaster and comes with 96 darts.
