1. Just google it and do it yourself.
2. No need for hardware. Everything can be done via a pc. How? Google it. Should be the first few results.
3. I've modded mine. But I've never installed any pirated games on it. So why mod? Cheat codes. I hate grinding.

actually easiest way to mod is using R4 (nothing to do with piracy here) . unless if your FW is lower than 11.3 then u can use just pc.

I apologize if I'm bumping into a dead thread, but anyone knows where's a good source to get replacement battery for the first model 3DS?(Model CTR-001. Battery model CTR-003) I got 2 of them(Ori) but both of them has expanded.

I found a few on Shopee and Lazada but not sure if it's a good idea to go for those.

Also anyone has experience using the USB cable to charge their 3DS instead of using the DSi/3DS wall adapter?

I charge my N3DS with USB Cable + Aukey/Samsung Adapter. Sometime use Apple adapter. So is more convenient to use USB cable.

Where did you find your battery though if you got those before?

Just want to make sure for the battery. I got two first model 3DS and both of them had the original battery that they came with which both already have expanded (One I had since 2013, another one I bought recently but it's abit older than my other one.). Never bought replacement batteries before so yeah.
