Planning to get new 3DS LL (Japan) soon, any idea can i use Malaysia Credits Card for the e-Store?

I have read the pinned FAQ. Got few questions

1) If I were to purchase from the US Eshop, does the console have to be the US version?

2) From the Faq, mentioned that the Asian version does not have Club Nintendo points. Are these points significant?

3) Is it easy to purchase US 3ds games here in malaysia?

3ds game not as big as Vita btw, so should be fine. 32gb would be nice enough, 64gb sounds like a waste for me.

I'm thinking of getting one as a gift.

what region would you guys recommend if I want to have a large selection of games to buy from locally?
