Has anyone been using this? How stable is this? Any known bugs?

Just switched to CM12 Nightlies recently, anything that I should be aware of? Is flashing one of those kernels necessary? In case you're wondering, this is the guide I followed.

Edit: The gestures are just not working very well for me, except for Double Tap to Wake, it's really frustrating.

Does this come with OTA updates?

Guys, I should just ignore the CM12 Nightlies updates right? Only flash/install new updates coming from the Sabermod one, am I right?

I think this is probably my 3rd day on this ROM. Is it just me or does the battery drain really fast on this ROM? Just disabled Google Play Services wakelock, and I will see if that helps.

Edit: Enabling Ambient Display may be the culprit to this, no?

Did you not use Synapse to tweak anything at all? Screen on time?

Well, that's really weird. Did you turn on Ambient Display, WiFi, GPS and all, all the time? You have been getting this kind of battery life since day one? How many battery cycles did you go through?

I'm currently waiting for it to be fully charged, I drained the battery all the wait to zero percent just now. Gonna give it a go again later, and I'll report back on the battery performance.

Just sharing it here, since LG G3 has been mentioned for quite an amount of times previously in the past thread. Shameless LG G3 clone.

Is it normal for this ROM to have the Ambient Display randomly turning on by itself without notifications coming in or any sort of actions like lifting the phone up done to it?

My battery life report on this ROM. I can never really quite hit the 5 hours Screen-on-time mark.

I've posted here about this previously and no one seems to have an answer to my question, and I'll try again. I don't know why am I not getting the expected good battery life that others have been getting on this ROM? I can never quite hit the 5 hours mark of Screen-On-Time, even hardly reaching 4 hours of it. I left charged 100% at night before I sleep, unplugged the charger, woke up next morning and it was already at 73%. That was about a 6 to 7 hours of sleep, to be exact. Any help or feedback would be very much appreciated, thank you. The first 3 screenshots attached below are actually the worst so far. In case you're wondering why didn't I just ask about this over at the XDA forum, I've posted there just moments ago. I was only able post in the Q&A thread, instead of this official one because I am still new there and that was only my first post.

How do I know which app is causing this to happen? Is Google Play Services the culprit? Do I have to disable the wakelock and all?



Sorry, my bad, forgot to do so. Yeah, my Ambient Display keeps activating by itself randomly all the time and I thought it was nothing. How do I solve this?

No, not at all. Only syncing is enable all the time. Screen brightness is only at like 30 to 40 percent at times.

Edit: I will try flashing the latest GAPPS for this ROM and see if it helps, because I've only flashed the new updated ROM and firmware available previously to update it usually.

Yes, it is rooted. What are the pros and cons of disabling it? I have heard others having this problem previously, and I didn't.

Yeah, I probably should have seen that coming, but others have been fine. There must be something I can do.

Someone over from XDA is telling me that my phone couldn't get into deep sleep and that might be the culprit of why I am complaining for here. He's suggesting me to re-flash the ROM. So, should I try your method first or both?

I'll try what Haters_Gonna_H8 & the other guy in XDA suggested, and see if things will work out. If else, I'm gonna switch ROM.

What launcher are you using? How did you get the bottom dock icons that small? I mean, can you fit more apps there?

Anybody still getting the SystemUpdateServices wakelock bug after the new CM12S update? I'm still having it, and I had to disable it through this. Damn, this is frustrating. Having getting this bug ever since I first flashed from CM11S to a custom CM12 ROM. Tried rolling back to CM11S a few times already in the past and still getting the same freaking bug. I just have to disable the wakelock the same way everytime.

Edit: BetterBatteryStats is still showing me that the same process SystemUpdateServices has been waking my phone up all the time, looks like what I did previously has no effect. *SIGH* At least for now, disabling the process through Disable Service app worked.

I have posted the same rant here a while back when I was on a custom CM12 ROM. I can't get the awesome battery life that other users have been reporting everywhere(5 to 6 hours or more SOT, almost-0%-drain battery life in standby/deep sleep & etc.). Same goes to ROMs like Temasek, Blisspop and RobbieL811's CM Nightlies build. Even after the SystemUpdateServices bug has been disabled in all of them, and nothing still works for me. In order for me to get the most out of my battery, I will have to roll back to CM11S. I can easily get 4 to 5 hours SOT on stock ROM, rooted. My battery just seems to drain super fast, no matter how when I am on CM12 ROMs. I thought that would be the problem within all these custom ROMs that I have tried, I'm probably just the unlucky one. Now that I am on Cyanogen OS 12(CM12S), I'm still getting the same result.

TL;DR: I will always get lousy-ass battery life on CM12 ROMs, official or otherwise. I NEED HELP! What have I done wrong here? Approximately 33% of the battery gone in 9 hours or so deep sleep/standby time while I was sleeping on this new official ROM. This is just absurd.

Screenshots attached above are I got on my first day after dirty flashing from CM11S to CM12S. It's no where close to CM11S battery life performance. It's really frustrating. I decided to download the fastboot images and clean-flash CM12S on to my phone. Let the phone booted up by itself, restore my apps and data, and let it run all the updates it needed to(Google Play Services and such). So far from what I have noticed, the Google Update Services wakelocks bug is gone. Battery still drain hella fast in standby, major wakelocks are caused by system and I don't know why and what to do anymore. Please help! Screenshots below are what I got after I unplugged my charger at 100% last night till this afternoon. Also, Ambient Display kept on pulsing by itself at times, why? Is it one of the reasons for draining my battery that fast too? I like this new feature, would hate to disable it. *SORRY FOR THE LONG POSTS*
