For those who are already driving the HRV, is your front doors rubber seal only half length reaching only mid point around the door handle vs back doors rubber seal that wraps around the door?

Hey fellow HRV owner..,
Seem you guys need a little tips from New City owner.. tongue.gif

Try to turn OFF ECON mode when u going high speed on highway.. Then u will see better FC.. same goes for new City..
The ECON mode will make your car respond slower hence u keep on pressing the accelerator which is NO GOOD..

Only during traffic jam, or urban area you turn ON ECON.. Bare in mind your car will not able to keep up the stop and go motion, hence frequently got cut queue from other driver., but you get better FC on traffic jam.

As for HU, iPhone owner able to mirror their phone to HU using AppRadio & control Waze using external control, which is a plus..

However, for Android user, need to have parking brake bypass, which is able on accessories shop, or buy from someguy in LYN.. nick: maxwell if not mistaken..

Once you install this parking brake bypass, Android & iPhone user able to mirror their phone for MOVIE / GPS / MUSIC / GAME*(not recommended).

That's it.. cheers icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for info. would the bypass of parking brake void the warranty?

i went for the tint provided by the honda dealer cause they will warranty that the installation would be good as they would need to remove the door panel and they will ensure the door panel will be back as good.

i did post the picture in the other thread. Not car club but the other HRV thread . anyway i had gotten my answer. it is indeed half cut for front doors. there is an additional seal between front and back doors which serve the purpose of both noise and water seal. hence the front door do not really need a wrap around seal.

check with u all, HRV seems to be not equipped with cobra alarm like City. there is no black button with blinking light that usually come with cobra alarm. check the book, it seems that HRV is HONDA ALARM system.

another thing is the remote cannot trigger alarm. usually u can press the remote to force the car to make alarm sounds useful to find car in carpark. but seems like HRV remote cant.

Tell you dad ASX is old model whereas HRV is new model, at least HRV can last another 5 years before a totally new HRV model replacement.
*
Tell your dad that ASX no resale value. HRV with the mighty H had good resale value.
Also 4WD drinks more petrol.

HRV 6 airbags, tell your dad your life is worth it.

good luck

It can be done. But beware of the lifespan of LED. It might not be able to stand the high heat of the lamp cluster. However, the average lifespan of a normal bulb for my ex-308 DRL is only around 4-5 months.
*
LED do not give up heat like halogen. As such lamp cluster with LED should be cool.
talking from V spec perspective the head lamps are all LED so no issue with LED DRL as well.

Hi

I think the mid-spec CKD CX-5 is a run for the money, with the RM7K discount after GST, 2.0 Skyactiv engine, top-up abit to upgrade to leather seats, its still only a 10K premium over the high spec HR-V. Kinda no brainer (if you could bury the thoughts of RV) to get it.
*
Rm129k is for low spec not mid spec. So V Spec vs Low Spec CX5.
