The Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by Honda spanning two generations. The first generation HR-V was based on Honda Logo and sold in Japan and selective Asian-Pacific markets between 1999 and 2006. The second generation HR-V was based on third-generation Honda Fit and went on sale in North America, Australia, Brazil, and selective Asian markets in 2015. The second generation HR-V was largely identical to the JDM Vezel which went on sale in late 2013.

The abbreviation HR-V, according to Honda's HR-V history website, officially stands for Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle, while the other stands for Hip and Smart Runabout Vehicle. The HR-V was introduced to cater for the demand for vehicles with the benefits of SUVs (in particular its larger cousin CR-V), such as increased cargo room and higher visibility, along with the manoeuvrability, performance and fuel economy of a smaller car.

The HR-V's 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine has claimed fuel consumption of between 6.6L/100km

Its more or less the same as honda city new generation. So its something good!

Collected mine before cny. So far clocked 200 km around town giving 12km/l on average. Should improve as mileage increase and running in.

The HRV is well insulated, smooth operator with the CVT. Power is adequate and respond well when I stomp on the pedal.

I would rate the nvh to be surprisingly good. Better then the crv that I tested. Less bumpy as well....And I drive a vw ROC, so u can imagine what is my expectation... The hrv is definitely smoother than roc but that can be bad things when one start to push it...obviously the body roll is expected more... Beside its a family cross SUV, so one shld not expect a sporty or spirited drive although the CVT box is very responsive.

As ownership experience, Honda definitely stingy on V spec which I bought.(modern steel), should have full leather, dual tone interior, 17in rim, paddle shift. Sunroof is pointless in our weather. The remote system is crappier too compare to jazz or city which has no boot remote. The is no window down or wing mirror auto fold from remote too...

Nonetheless I'm happy with it. Wife n kid happy with more back space n higher comfort ride

i booked mine. V spec as well. shud be able to get it by next month. i test drive b4. bside the torque respond time got minor delay, i think mayb bcuz of CVT gear. The rest of my experience with it is awesome.

anyway, so what are the following car caring method u will do on below and what is ur recommandation?
1. tinting (i'm thinking to apply lumar T4-50, my other car using huper optic and plan to try another brand)
2. coating ( same i tried sierra glow b4 for classic coating, the result is not bad, just any recomandation?)
3. air filter ( new model, i dun think K&N will come our for it anytime soon.)
4. sport rim (anyone plan to change the rim? even for HRV Vspec, honda is so stingy that not giving 2tones sport rim like honda city)
5. racing bar (MPV need this?)

what else? Please share smile.gif

Hi all

On the HDMI iPhone connection....

You need install Radioapp on ur iPhone. Create acct n log in.

Connect the HDMI n Bluetooth. If the double right arrow on home screen work for u then its great. If not go to audio n select HDMI as source. Activate radioapp n then activate waze now(ensure waze setting allow external control) it will mirror on ur HU even if handbrake is down n driving. I can even control my waze from HU.

Except sound still come from my phone as I did not activate Bluetooth sound output.

Did not try video on the move for obvious reason.
