Ok, we all know you love the team you support. But who would be your second team? Which team is the team you would not mind supporting as well?

For me, I would not mind supporting Arsenal. Although fairly cocky most of the time, they play wonderful football and have a good footballing philosophy. Plus, Henry is fun to watch and he wouldn't mind coming to Liverpool as well!

But still, no team in the world can match Liverpool for is spirit, its fans, its traditions and generally what it means to its fans.

EDIT: To those who wanna vote for the 2nd greatest team in Merseyside:I doubt they would exist if Liverpool is not around. So vote for someone else!

They give me that kinda vibe. Don't know why. But its just my opinion.

My second clubs is the clubs that play beatiful football like arsenal,Man u except barca

i voted for real madrid .
well they do have ronaldo , raul , cannavaro , roberto carloz , van nisterooy , reyes & beckham !

1st is Selangor Darul Ehsan, and 2nd is Real Madrid CF.

The only "cocky" team ever to cross my mind would be chelsea. Man Utd for its fiery manager (last time, he has toned down nowadays). IMHO, Arsenal have one of the humblest managers around, and with stronger characters like viera having left arsenal, i cannot see how they can be cocky in your POV.

I will say my second team actually is my 1st team's rival: Liverpool.

I don't know why, and no reason.

But anyway, I treat my first team and second team is different. Very big different. I will never buy a Liverpool shirt, stuff or even go Anfield to watch their home match. (Follow my team play away in Anfield is ok).

Definitely Barca. PLays BRILLIANT football, and is in another league. I dun ustand how one can pick a rival big team as a 2nd team though. To SUPPORT would mean to cheer them on and hope for the best for the team. Im a Man United FREAK. Although i love Arsenals football, but id never hope for them to get a result.

There is no 2nd team. For me, liking another club is one thing, having a 2nd team is totally a different thing.

Not so much of supporting another team. More of if Liverpool did not exist, who you wouldn't mind supporting? Maybe I should rephrase, "Team you wouldn't mind supporting."

v. nistelrooy and ronaldo both cost less than 20 million each. Veron cost more than 20 million though
But most of their successes in the 90s depended on a lot on their youth players and shrewd signings (cantona 1.2 million)..

I hate them but that doesn't mean I don't respect their history

You can't expect me to think "if my wife didn't exist, I wouldn't mind having so-and-so as my missus"... naww.

Maybe my analogy is a bit extreme though, but I can't imagine watching football without LFC.

Nope, i think everyone have one or two teams they sympathize with.Of course the feeling is not the same as the feeling towards the club that you support.When the thread starter ask what is your 2nd team, it sounds like he's asking you about the other club you support besides the other one. I think he meant which club do you sympathize.Sympathizing and supporting are two different thing.

Supporting a 2nd team = one thing

but i think it's fine to favour a certain team when u r watching a match that your team isn't playing in or if u like watching how a certain team plays

Three years ago the obvious choice would be Real Madrid. Having said that, Real should be my second team because I enjoy watching them play. Seeing gave up on a winger like Figo for a jersey seller hoofing the 50 yard meaningless long ball LOL..I love them I love them...

Never say never. We did play long balls in the past, for example Cole's long pass to Henry for his goal vs Bayern Munich 2 seasons ago; and also Kolo's long pass to Henry for his magnificent side-footed goal into the far corner of the goal vs Sparta Prague last season in the ECL.

By the way... I don't have a second team But I like Valencia a lot, ever since Rafa's days. But nowadays they are having more and more new players which I don't recognise anymore.
