I would like to ask the IT security or network expert here, I am going to join a company with the job position IT security executive, I have CEH certification and 1 years exp in this field. So which certification would benefit to me? CompTIA security+ or CCNA? becoz i favor more in CompTIA security+ so i can learn more about security stuff, but the trainer suggest me to go for CCNA 1st as i could have strong networking skills. Both price are around the same.
comptia sec+ is quite similar to ceh. CCNA is more towards networking.
what is your aim, and what field of security are you in? If you're planning to go down network sec, then get ccna for starters.. but it won't help you much if you don't deal with cisco equipment..

CCNA is the minimal certification required nowadays, go get that first
If and even if you have Comp Security and your future employer sees and observes that you do not have real working experience with IT security, DESPITE your CompTia certification, you will, well, let's just say that you will not 'score' as much hiring-points as if you had the CCNA certification - which I must emphasise again that every IT student being churned out of private and local Uni is being spoon fed-FREE-pass with, meaning stupidstupid also got, you dont have???
Understand?
Later when youre accumulating work-experience time, you will have lots of time to do the Security+ certifications and MORE

im aim to go for pentesting path, so my security knowledge and networking should hav balance. but lik you said CEH is quite similar to compTIA security +, so even i get compTIA it just learning the same thing with some added feature? and i tot ccna is dealing with cisco equipment as well

ok, i actualy already have CEH, which do me good in security knowledge, so CCNA is gona be my next target. but should i go for CCNP and cisco security further on after i get CCNA? or focus on security cert lik compTIA, ECSA or LPT?
Does your company use Cisco routers? If yes then go for CCNA because it will help you to get the hands-on experience. Otherwise, just Google it and read for your information. It is no point having a Cisco certification if you don't apply the knowledge you have learned. Even if you apply for jobs and state that you have a Cisco certification, the employers want to see whether you have used the CCNA knowledge in your previous working place. But, this is just my opinion and the choice is in your hands.

this question depends on your main guru-ness objective
the guru in you will eventually answer "what do I want to be when I grow up"

I don't say it is useless as it helps you to gain the skills and knowledge which you could apply in your job. However, it would be advantageous if the company happens to use Cisco routers and switches.

security+ totally for security... network+ is compulsory requirement if not mistaken.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).. for networking.. unless u take CCENT as entry level.. thn CCNA > CCNP security.
