One of the main difference between Auvray and Xena is this;


Auvray uses motion sensor instead of the infrared used by Xena. Thus, users are able to lock it with the bike cover for more effective locking 

We do not have any complains on "false-alarm" problem.

And yeah I did hear about the "false-alarm" issue. because the infrared can be blocked by dirts or anything that might come across the reflective plate and the beam. My suggestion for you is to keep your disc brake and disc lock as clean as possible and make sure no dirts stuck on it.

For Auvray it uses motion-sensor alarm (same as Kovix). So unless there is motion/vibration, the alarm won't goes off.
