Comparison:
AUVRAY vs KOVIX
ALARM: (SAME) Motion sensor
ALARM FUNCTION: (SAME) Can switch ON/OFF
MATERIAL: Both brands offer Stainless Steel and Hardened Steel locks
DIFFERENCE: Majority of AUVRAY locks offer stainless steel body and are SRA certified as heavy duty locks. Their established brand are known to offer high security locks. KOVIX disc locks are a step down from AUVRAY. While they maintain the function and material used, they have less stainless steel options. However, to make up for that, they are offered at CHEAPER price with varieties of colors and locks (disc lock, U-lock, home lock, etc.). Their KBL12/14 alarm-lock are famed for their usage as store room lock or chain lock.

Tips for Bikes Security:
Here is a useful link to an interview with an ex-thief.
https://rideapart.com/articles/ask-a-motorcycle-thief
It's a long read but here are the gist of it.
- An apartment gated parking garage is a target spots for thief
- It is more effective to lock the rear wheel
- A visible passive device is good enough to make the thief pass on
- Paging alarms are somewhat effective; eletronic devices (alarm) is more of a mental challenge that a physical one
- Cheap disc lock can be defeated in silence
- Most thief will give a bike a few seconds, maybe a couple of minute, and if they can't get they are gone
- AND pls, If someone tries and fails to get your bike, Move it. they will be BACK!
And personally from me;
- Alarm disc lock won't trigger by just touching your bike. It need to be shaken to a certain degree that trigger the alarm.
- Alarm disc lock is not a total solution for your bike.Depending on where you lock, they might still be able to steal your motor parts without triggering the alarm.
- Our disc lock uses CR2 battery for the high voltage for higher performance
And our heavy duty locks are SRA CERTIFIED:

Why Classe SRA matters: The French standard; brutality of attack, insurance requirement.
In France, locks that do not carry the Classe SRA logo are not considered to be an effective theft deterrent. In fact, you cannot insure a motorbike in France against theft without a Classe SRA-rated anti-theft device.
Classe SRA do not use a motorbike or machinery, only heavy duty tools with human force (but no picking). Classe SRA demand to see highly detailed drawings of the locks before testing, which they use to decide the weakest point (most often the locking pin) and then saw, leveraging/wedge; two tests on the key barrel include drilling with tungsten-carbide drill bit. They take five samples of each lock and even if they don’t succeed in breaking it, they try again. Testing is done by an official government laboratory.
