There's actually a way to achieve that, but I can make it easier:

1) When you create your topic, tick "Enable email notification of replies?". I think I'll change this to be ticked by default.

2) For any topic including your own, look for "Track this topic". You can track it with or without email notification, either way it will notify you when there are replies. I'm not sure how I can make this feature more obvious, or maybe it's fine the way it is.
*
currently 2) is how I track my topic.

My opinion is: 'track without email notification' should be by default enable for all topic creator. And add option to allow them disable it if too annoying.

Works well for me.

Probably admin should come up with an disable option for users that do not want this function.

Ehhh ... Now every topic that I had replied, will auto notify me if there's someone comment.

I don't think that is what we need. I mean it should be 'Topic Creator' who will receive all notification on new comment in his topic. Commenters however will only receive notification when someone replied or tag him/her.

Unless the 'commenters' have subscribe to that topic, else there's no need to notify every single new comment posted in that topic.

i would suggest that it would be be better if it automatically send an email notification to me on the thread that i open. SO that i can follow my thread and i do not need to go to suscribe it manually.

Personally as a Seller, I preferred to have categorised notification.
A) Topic Replies (10)
B) Inbox Replies (5)
& a Combo email notification of both CONSTANTLY for efficiency.

^Additional Function^ *Users get to choose to continue following the topic or unfollow when you're done with the deal*

I'm an Entrepreneur who constantly revolutionise the ways we do things in many segments of businesses.

Looking forward to see this system being implemented on this amazing platform!

Can give the option to not see replies to a thread?

Just getting notifications for direct reply's like the last time was good enough.

I think applying it in Garage Sales is enuff. Coz the TS there mainly are traders, so knowing that they have potential customers' inquiries or posts are very important to them. If this is implemented in Garage Sales, then it is a very gud move imho. Coz now traders know if someone have posted in their thread.

But I think in places like Kopitiam and Football Lounge this feature is not needed. Imagine if TS for Football Lounge everyday also c those notifications. laugh.gif
