wow, how you do it? straight using big capital?
*
Nope, progressively add-on my capital up to 20K+.
Trust me, the amount of capital you have will affect your trading mindset greatly.

I trade very conservatively ..... even with 20K+ deposit, the max. lotsize I traded at any one time is no more than 12 miniLots (or 1.2 standard Lot).

nice. 12 minilots i presume across multi currencies. don't know where you get the time analyze so many while this is not full time.

how long do you hold your orders for? cycle daily?
*
Previously I used to trade on H4~D1 time frame and normally hold positions between 3~5 days.

However for the last 5 weeks I have started to use shorter time frame M30~H1 & most positions are closed within 2~3 hours.

EDITED:

I trade 100% on technical, no fundamental & I don't read news. I don't trade any specific pairs, I just studied around 10~15 pairs charts & trade the one I felt giving me strong signals.

TP not triggered has nothing to do with 'lost connection'. Once your trade is executed, your SL & PT are registered in the broker's server, not in your PC. You can even switch off your PC after executing your trade.

with 20K usd and playing rate is 1.20? if everyday u can get 20pip.. then u no need work liao
*
Theoretically you are right if trade 1.2 std lot x 20 pips profit.

However my trading strategy is normally I start off with 3-minilot, then add another 3-minilots upon pullback & finally add another 3-minilots upon pullback, making a total of 9-minilots in play. But this strategy depends of the strength of the trend. Using this technique, at times I managed to harvest a TOTAL of 300~600 pips per day! In the longer-run my average TOTAL gain is about 65~70 pips per day.

Dollar cost averaging?

It's called "continuation" BUY for uptrend. Dollar cost averaging sounds more for losing trades wink.gif

1 single pullback of 100pips.. if u r stuck with pull back every 30 pip... then u must be "hurt" alot on this technic
*
Remember when you trend trade ..... it's 2-steps forward 1-step backward for Uptrend & reverse for Downtrend. Don't expect the trend to move in a straight line upwards.

The scenario you mentioned above is more like "gostan-gear".

So the question arises .... how do you know the uptrend is still intact when there is a pullback? For me I look at the MA at higher timeframe.

EDIT:
I just made 58 pips profit from BUYING GBP/JPY icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi KeroroQ,

Bro, i am also looking at trustworthy broker to start my trading journey. I looking at FXCM right now. But i found they been some problem with their firm last month.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/201...preads-i4zeetbl

Do they affect the trader's withdrawal process or event freeze withdrawal due this major issue?

Thanks.
*
No problem for me on withdrawal from FXCM.

Made a withdrawal recently & it took them 2-working days for the withdrawal to be credited into my Malaysian bank account.
