If you are in the game long enough, you would know Insider Asia writeups tends to be lacking....

Putting money based on their writeups (or others) is extremely risky.....

Same with writeups on AirAsia, no?
All say cheap oil will be good.....but incredibly they chose to ignore many important factors.

So.. Ah Boon's writeup mana? hmm.gif

unker @gark, can provide some insight about insas-pa? never deal with preference shares before. 4 cents dividend is a must to pay or company has the rights not to pay?
*
Must pay every year until expiry of preference shares or shares redeemed at fixed price of RM1.

Even company losing money etc.. also must pay one, like bond. laugh.gif

hence, not a must  tongue.gif

If you see the history of Insas-LA (Loan stock), Insas has been paying interest consistently from 2002 until 2007.

Lets see the what is the profile of Insas-PA in the prospectus... on the payment.

Interest rate : 4% paid every 6 months (5 years)
Redeemable at RM 1 by Insas ANYTIME before maturity
Cannot convert to Insas Shares
Can combine Insas-PA with Insas-Wa in exchange for 1 Insas ordinary share
No voting rights

On the consistency of dividends.

1. Priority dividend compared to other shareholders
2. In case of insolvency, the RM 1 is in preference to be paid, ordinary shareholders get nothing

Remember interest payment = No Tax but no e-dividend also, they send check to your house.. mad.gif

A lot of people dont know this but you can combine 1 LA + 1 WA = 1 new share..

Might have some arbitage oppurtunity here.. hmm.gif

thanks garkĀ  thumbup.gifĀ  thumbup.gif

i still confuse about this

The preference shares is offered at RM1.00 with 2 warrants attached for every preference shares purchased.

For each insas-PA, we will get 2x free warrants?
*
No no...

If you subscribe the Insas-PR @ RM 1 you get 1xInsas-PA + 2xInsas-WA

If you buy Insas-PA now from the open market.. you only get the PA and not the WA... tongue.gif

WA have to buy separately..

Hey bro, I'm kinda confused about one thing.
"Interest rate : 4% paid every 6 months"
Does this mean I get 4% every 6 months which means 8% for a year?
Or does it mean I get 2% every 6 months which means 4% for a year?

And also if the company is unable to pay the dividend for this year, will be it brought forward to the next year? (Dividend will be last year + this year)
*
1. 2% every 6 months = 4% per year

2. If cannot pay dividend, will not be accrued (unless company redeem PA). This will not happen unless company in big financial trouble..

Yes, OSK big bos offer is 60 sen per warrant
And if u see intrinsic value, mother share NTA RM2.50+
So, let's say we apply 20% discount, still should trade around RM2...warrant should be worth RM1 hmm.gif

Average sum of 60 sen and RM1...80 sen...40% upside drool.gif

But...I still...dunno lar laugh.gif
*
Calculate warrant value have to use black-scholes formula (can find online calculator tongue.gif ).. cause of time value of warrant.

Hey gark or anyone who knows the answer, the bolded part, it is redeemable anytime at RM1. I received a question from a fren. So now let say buy at 0.855, straight away can redeem at RM1, meaning earn 1-0.855 = 0.145?

I think is not that good easy right? Or you buy at 0.855 return 0.855 only? hmm.gif
*
There are two ways you can convert the WA...

1. Buy 1 WA and subcribe and pay RM 1 to get 1 new share

2. Buy 1 WA and 1 PA and surrender the PA to get 1 new share

You cannot redeem the PA for RM 1, only THE COMPANY have the option to redeem it ANYTIME or after expiry.

Trading should never be a game of dare lah!!!

The discount they agree for the amount due from MAS is laughable....as they are clearly admitting they have been overcharging like hell !!!

Travel in MAS plane recently.. food sucks.. I have nasi lemak.. cannot eat one. Meat dry like leather.. rice 2 tablespoon doh.gif , 2 piece cucumber, a FEW nuts and a couple of sorry looking bilis.

Buy RM 1 nasi lemak from mamak taste much better.

Or... eat AirAsia nasi lemak also taste 100x better than MAs...

Really jatuh standard. shakehead.gif
