Just quarterly drop

Year-to-date results still strong

And its ROE is one of the highest in the industry, well-managed costs and expenses wink.gif

P/E-wise, maybe a bit high
But its one of the highest dividend yielding banking stock, after Maybank

U can't go wrong with a bank which is indirectly owned/controlled by the Singapore government rolleyes.gif

agreed.
the decrease is mostly attributed to higher allowance for bad loans.

revenues actually grew.

For financial sector, what factors do you consider, other than PE, DY, ROE?
Cash flow is irrelevant, right?

Yup, cash flow not so relevant to a banking stock.

So many paper gains and profits tongue.gif

What matters is the juice they can milk outa their assets...
How well they manage their costs esp overheads...

And most importantly, asset quality. High ROE but lotsa toxic loans...die sweat.gif
