Ah.. for divvy stocks you are not just looking at dividend yield %, but chiefly at dividend GROWTH %..

Your divvy stocks dividend grows every years... FD do not.. AND if the dividend is growing every year, the stock will too..

If a stock with stable dividend.. i will only look at it if DY% > FD + X%

if a stock with growing dividend.. i will only look if DY%+DG% > FD + X%

Just a simple guideline.. X % you have to determine yourself depending on your risk tolerance

Look at the divvy growth...

Maybe some of then are NOT qualified to be divvy stocks?

Hahaha.. yes sometimes investors can be disillusion one... can fall in love with a stock.

Like love.. can be blind..

Sayang a stock too much... refuse to see the negative point.. I think everyone suffer a little bit of those.

Every time hope and hope that it will turn around, but years and years.. never do it.

So sometimes we need to be objective on stock selection, once it no longer meets the criteria when we buy it, we need to say goodbye. it is not easy to do...

Thats why need to share on forum others can point out the weaknesses..

I am holding a few companies.. Net Cash + Investment For Sale (Quoted Stocks) > Share price... The other fixed assets and company operations can consider free already..

But hold quite some time already.. the kiamsiap shareholder dun wan give dividend..

Actually you do.. to inflation.

You need to make sure ALL of your asset grow at least 5% p.a. to maintain your spending power only..

Anything less the inflation monster takes a bite..

As long good company with good fundamentals ok lar.. not all blue chip is good companies also.

Lots of them has fallen from grace.. like YTLPower.. used to be a solid blue chip divvy counter... now can sweep under the floor.

Related must mean you have a 'share' of the industry's up and down... if healthcare in demand, then healthcare earnings go up.. will the divvy from Alaqar follow suit?
