Not personally.. just many things in the past VT has done to screw minorities... and stock punters..

Latest is the Berjaya Toto's gaming trust..to be listed in SGX and then canceled incurring a cut in dividend.

Also VT is the main shark at his counters.. watch out for that.

Its gonna take a long long while...

Make sure you have a comfortable seat.. and able to hold on to losses if you decide to play OnG stocks. If no patience or emotion to hold on.. then better not touch.

I think no recovery can be forseen in between 1-2 years time.

Ouch.. yeah working in OnG now will be tough time..

Marginal fields are going to be first to be cut...

Working in palm oil related industry also not so good now.. CPO price also down a lot.. at least no salary cut yet.

Can.. for cut they call it voluntary reduction scheme (VRS).. for retrench call voluntary separation scheme (VSS).

Basically its either you take salary cut or you are out...

If you die die dont want to take cut or go out.. they will probably send you to africa warzone..

Prepare for the long ride..

Nowdays companies very creative one lar.. got labor lawyers support one.

For example, they tend to give 'big' salary in a few allowances, which they can pull later. Also they can be very creative in getting rid of you. Sending you to literary hostile places to work. or isolated in Jungle.

The company I work for does have any problem firing people.. If you are triggered for removal, the most you can last is 1-3 months..

I have seen executive directors also kena removed, GM's, manager and even executives. Most without compensation. A few tried to fight in labor court but lost.

This is not small company.. >1000 people working in the group.

Apa audit standard is this...?

Our internal & external auditor (One of the big 4) all masuk site/jungle do audit on stock and asset one, usually for 3-4 days per site.

Very funny see all the young auditors suffer, get all their nice cloths dirty & sweat bucket loads for a bit. One time one external auditor (young chap ~25) panic after climb the 30m tall storage tank. We have to bring him milo, before he dare to climb back down.

For some reason, they never send female auditors one..

Technically ... if you bought good fundamental stocks at the wrong price, you might NOT lose if you keep for a long long time, BUT your profit margin and compounded gain will be severely hampered.

If you enter at very very very wrong price, sometimes even the good fundamentals can't help you.. you might do worse than FD.

Now.. if you enter at ANY price at weak stocks, high chance that can say bye bye to your $$$

I would say PRIMARY we look at FUTURE profit growth OR stability (in case of divvy stocks)..

No use looking at past or present situation, stock investing is all about anticipation of the FUTURE.

That what makes it hard to SCORE..
