Hi all, appreciate someone can help me clarify some of my questions.
Bought a 2nd hand landed intermediate double storey house and planning to do some reno with extension.

The house had some work done by the previous owner in the back, i.e convert the "used to be open area" to wet kitchen. Is this considered a extension? As there is no concerete slab/roof, just normal roof tiles to cover up that area. Reason im asking this, because my architect asked whether previous owner had submitted extension plan to authority? if no, i have to pay extra for the previous owner's work done. Is this true?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Architect is correct. MBPJ is strict on this. DBKL is more lenient.

Thanks for the reply. But does the previous workdone considered an extension? considering no concrete roof/slab invovled.
