i have 2 recommendations. since i start with arsenal with clichy injured - i get 2 left backs - gareth bale (1.7m) from southampton (great 17 yo kid with wonderful stats!) and giogio cheallini from juventus (5m) - replaced clichy as my first choice. i rate him as highly as cole..

Fix National Teams.
Due to licensing some National Teams don't have proper players (Holland and Germany for example) To get rid of this go to "c:/program files/sports interactive/football manager 2007/data/db/700/lnc" once there copy the file "fake.lnc" and place it in a safe place as backup, then delete the file "fake.lnc" and when you start a new game the contries effected will have the proper squad. All this file does it put a "mask" on the national teams effected and once you remove it it gets rid of the mask.

Note: You have to start a new game for it to take effect.

in my profile, I'm uncapped, thus that rules out the chance that I played with them during internationals.
I checked all my staff and players, none came from there.

you can add picture if you already played. but you need to know how to edit the xml file for pictures and also your unique game ID (which in my screenshot is shown under my name)

Maybe I am just lucky. I sold Rio in the first season for 43 million and only spent a total of 36 million. Maybe the board allowed me to bring forward
