gonna cancel my maxis fiber once contract finish.

I've had so many problems with maxis fibre during my 2 years subscription and I had always thought the culprit to be the maxis router TPlink c5v.

Probably some of fellow members here have similar experience like me as well,

- Random P2P throttling
- Random webpages inaccessible
- High latency to US/AUS/JP/EU sites
- Slow connection during peak hours
- Wifi cannot load/browse at times

After terminating my subscription and changed to TM unifi, I received help to change both ipv6 and ipv4 dns on my Maxis tplink router and change the internet account to unifi.

Been using for a good 3 months now and magically all the problems I've had before disappeared. The installer had used the same modem and they provided me a spare TM router as backup in case my maxis router decided to die off 1 day.

Maybe it wasn't just meant for me.

Latest firmware for my C5v seems to be 210218.

Huawei AX3000 (2x2), Kaon AX 5400 (4x4), so KAON wifi performance is better.

The new maxis router is AX5400, which has similar coverage/performance with AX73 from tplink.

Using Kaon router here and didn't experience issue with DiGi VoWiFi. Works great on my Huawei phone. My 4G LTE signal is rubbish around my area so VoWiFi works well to get calls properly and I think 3G already decomissioned

Are you guys who are facing issue tried to ask for public IP from maxis?

It supports but it sucks because you lose AOD access as you are bridging the IPTV VLAN and need to reboot the router if you power off the decoder because it doesnt have proper IGMP support/VLAN support.
