MGM program is a referral/referee for people looking xtra savings on monthly bill payment. A referral (you) will get RM20/month, a referee will get RM10/ month for the next 12 months.
I was told today by Maxis Customer agent MGM program only valid if your particulars submitted via online form in maxis website. Not over the counter. Anyone can be yur referral, your relatives & friends who has home broadband account with maxis..

If you are a unifi user before, maxis connectivity can be done straight away. They use the same fiber cabling at your home installed by TM, same TM modem or might change to new one, and maxis will install new Router (either single band or dual band Technicolor brand depending on your package subscription). You can also request to do new fiber cabling if wish instead of using current one, and should be foc for new maxis customer. Especially if you feel existing fiber cabling having problem or you want to relocate the modem. Fiber cable easily broken inside if severely bent bcos it is made of glass fiber material.

Usually you need to pay penalty RM500 if terminate before contract. I think if you have valid reasons to terminate due to constant poor performance & you have compiled with evidences, maxis will considr to waive the penalty. You need to discuss with maxis. Normally maxis will actively improve their network, any downtime and poor speeds performance you'r facing. You can ask maxis rebates no of days/weeks you suffer with downtime!

Normally nowdays routers work with any modems

Can't check with maxis helpline since they said have no access to it. Rebates will reflect on bill in 2nd month coz 1st month bill is normally pro-rated, as i was told
